God promised to save us from our enemies so that we could serve God without fear and lead holy and godly lives. Jesus fulfilled this promise through his incarnation, crucifixion, inspiration, and resurrection. Though the world brings trouble, Jesus has won the battle over the world and gives us peace. The true gift of Christmas is that through Jesus, we can have a relationship with God and live according to his commandments of love.
