  32. 32. THE GOSPEL REASON So that mankind may experience thegoodness of His grace through Hissalvation and have their souls foreverpreserved in the pleasure of Hispresence by fulfilling the chief end oftheir design, to glorify God.
  33. 33. CAUTIONIf you do not know the Gospel, growingin the Gospel, or showing the fruit ofthe Gospel in your life and in the livesof others you will be easily deceived bysomething other that isn’t the gospel.
  34. 34. MIXING BAD NEWS WITH GOOD NEWS Spirituality- We are all spiritual beings. God is spiritand we were created from Him, but yet he is distinct. -John 4:23-24 There is no other God, but our God. 41. 41. WHY THE GOSPEL?It helps us clearly see God and if we can clearlysee God He can clearly see us and if He canclearly see us then that means that sin is farfrom us and if sin is far from us that means He istruly pleased with us and that should always beour ultimate aim.
  42. 42. LOVING THE AUTHOR OF THE GOSPEL “do not love the world or the thingsin the world. If anyone loves theworld, the love of the Father is not inhim. For all that is in the world—thedesires of the flesh and the desires ofthe eyes and pride of life—
  43. 43. LOVING THE AUTHOR OF THE GOSPEL is not from the Father but is fromthe world. And the world is passingaway along with its desires, butwhoever does the will of God abidesforever.”-1 John 2:15-17
  44. 44. THE AUTHOR Every one loves the story. We are a generation that livesfor the sequel. We love stories because of how it makes usfeel, it’s challenge us, convicts us, and inspires us to beswept up into the characters and their lives. God is theauthor of our salvation and has written a story much biggerthan any story man could ever write and he doesn’t want usto spectators in the story, but participants.
  45. 45. THE CHARACTERS There are three sets of characters in the story of God: The main character Jesus: It’s all about Jesus, not you! Those who love the Father Those who hate the Father

  48. 48. THE LOVERS David- 1 Samuel 16:7 He is said to be a man after God’s on heart. He was notperfect but he did love the Lord and when he sinned heconfessed his sin to the Lord. He did many great things for theLord. The Disciples-The New Testament The Disciples of Jesus gave them even until death for thesake of the Gospel.
  49. 49. THE LOVER Jesus-Romans 5:8; John 15:13 These verses explains everything. There is no greater lover than Jesus. He is faithfullycommitted to lavishing His love on you every sec of everyhour of every day for all eternity and nothing will get in theway.-Romans 8:37-39
  50. 50. THE HATERS Pharaoh- Exodus 14:3-4 He is a punk. He thought he was the greatest man to liveand all had all power. God showed him otherwise. Ahab-1 Kings 16:30 He did evil in the sight of the Lord more than any otherking before him. He worshipped Baal and not the living Godof his fathers.
  51. 51. THE HATERS Jezebel-Revelation 2:20 This lady was bad. Enough said. Girls don’t be this girl. Pharisees- Matthew 23 They hated Jesus. They were teachers of the Law and knewScripture better than anyone, but couldn’t recognize the Godof the Scriptures when he was standing right in front ofthem. John 5:39-47
  52. 52. THE HATER El Diablo, Lucifer, or Stank face- 1 Peter 5:8; John 8:44 He despises the main character Jesus. He thought in hisheart that he was more magnificent than God. He thoughtwrong. He was not extended salvation and hates without anymercy the lovers of God.
  53. 53. IDENTIFYING A HATER The Jealous Joker This person loves world period. They don’t have to havethe things of the world their are bent on evil and being withworld. They don’t care about anything. They just want towatch the world burn. Your with Satan’s posse and yourtrying to cause as much havoc as you can. Your about hiswill, not God’s, because you love him and not God.
  54. 54. IDENTIFYING A HATER You make life chaos for those who really love you andcare for you. The sad part is you don’t care. You and the world are in starring roles. As long as youhave the world your alright. You are an assassin against God. Anything that hasassignment to bring God Glory your signing up to take it out.
  55. 55. IDENTIFYING A HATER The Gaudy Gold digger This person loves the trinkets and treasures the world’sgives. They do whatever the worlds wants to flaunt whateverthe world wants the others to see. IDENTIFYING A HATER They either stay neutral not taking a clear stance at all, ortheir standing up for both, because they don’t want to fight. You think by doing good things that it’s good enough tokeep your status as Christian, so everyone will think you area Christian, so you can put on your dancing shoes and danceit up with the world at night without anyone knowing. Smoke screen conviction
  60. 60. IDENTIFYING A LOVER Content Carl & Carla This people love God and truly have the Father abiding inthem. They find the world completely unfulfilling anddistasteful. Only God can satisfy them. Whether they aremarried or not, rich or poor, fame or no fame their hope isin Christ and Christ alone is their righteous. They are thereal deal and they make no deals with the world.
  61. 61. IDENTIFYING A LOVER Cautions: Remember it’s not Jesus and me, it’s Jesus and we God gifts you to serve mankind, not save mankind You will always be tempted to leave the One who calledyou until your in the ground. 66. 66. LOVING MY ROLE IN THE GOSPELRather, speaking the truth in love,we are to grow up in every way intohim who his the head, into christ, from whom the whole body, joined andheld together by every joint withwhich it
