Jesus rebuked two disciples for not believing what the prophets had foretold, explaining how the Messiah was meant to suffer and enter into his glory. The central message discussed is that Jesus, his suffering and glory, as conveyed through the gospel, is the overriding theme and purpose of Scripture from Genesis to Revelation as seen in key passages that foretold his coming.
Leading With Brokenness and Humility by Lee McFarlandLee Mcfarland
Nehemiah gets a vision from God for doing something great!
He gets the people together – he gets the material together – he draws up plans - and he is flat out going to rebuild this wall around his hometown of Jerusalem!
Nehemiah launches into an amazing effort to re-build the wall around Jerusalem – something nobody had been able to do for 80 years! He was literally going to "Fix a Broken Dream".
The punch line of the whole story is found in Nehemiah 6:15.
“So the wall was completed… in fifty-two days.” Neh. 6:15
This was incredible! Something people had failed at for 80 years! In spite of all the odds, Nehemiah was able to finish rebuilding a wall in less than two months! It was an incredible accomplishment!
Why? Why was Nehemiah so successful?
It all comes down to this – Nehemiah DIDN’T QUIT! He refused to stop! He refused to give up! But I want you to know something.
He had EVERY REASON to quit! There were so many things that came at him – it would have been easy to give up! But he didn’t! He kept going, and he completed his project in record time!
A super-achiever is somebody who is DETERMINED.
I don’t know what you might be thinking – and I don’t know what might be getting you down. But I don’t believe you’re looking at this presentation by accident!
I believe God brought you here, to my "Slide Share" account, to read this posting, to tell you this:
DON’T GIVE UP ON YOUR DREAMS!
Don’t give up on the vision you have for your life, or for your job, or for your business, or for your ministry, or for your future!
Please promise me you won’t give up on your dreams!
There is one more thing to remember about your vision… you have to keep at it! If you get discouraged – if you get complacent – if you give up too early – you won’t get it done!
So – you have to keep your dreams alive – you have to keep your vision focused – and you have to keep at it! And that’s what we’re going to talk about in this presentation.
Nehemiah was a great example for all of these.
And we can see the same great leadership traits in Jesus.
Both Nehemiah and Jesus were "SERVANT LEADERS".
Being a servant leader means that you are willing to lead with both...
BROKENNESS AND HUMILITY.
This presentation will give examples, quotes, and Bible verses to reference.
I hope it is a blessing to you!
Just one touch from the Lord changes everything. We recount stories of Jesus touching people out of His compassion, and people touching Jesus in faith. Expect His touch on your life.

Walking Through the Word 2
The arrest of Jesus on the Mount of Olives presents some rather troubling questions about who Jesus is. Jesus' response are not at all what we might expect nor is the response of the Roman soldiers characteristic of an overwhelming military force. Peter's response, however, does seem a normal response, but he's rebuked for taking such a stand. What questions do you have about Easter?

Movie aarp clouds semantics of prophetic languageMorrison Lee
This Powerpoint looks at the semantics of prophetic language, especially the idea of CLOUDS in both testaments. (A very brief introduction to the use of clouds.)
It will demonstrate the in the development of language CLOUDS became convertible in meaning to THE PRESENCE OF GOD IN BLESSING OR JUDGMENT. This has implications for Jesus' prophetic claims in Matthew 24 and 26.
Forks can blur our vision of God's promises. (Numbers 14:1-10) This tends to occur when we look at our circumstances instead of God's commandments. Fortunately, forks are also times for leaders to clarify the opportunity and encourage people to follow in faith, not fear.
The Ten Commandments, though often viewed as out of date, are a current lens through which we can see not only historical truths about God's relationship with the Hebrew nation at that time, but universal truths about God's character at all times. Essentially, that he is a God of faithful ownership (covenant) who rightfully expects fearful obedience (commandments).

In Jude 17-23 Jude shifts from piling up examples of false teachers from the Old Testament to a series of practical exhortations that flow from apostolic instruction. He preserves for us what may well have been part of the apostolic catechism for the first generation of Christ-followers. In these instructions Jude exhorts the believer to deal with 3 different groups of people: scoffers who are "devoid of the Spirit", believers who have come under the influence of scoffers and believers who are so entrenched in false teaching that they need rescue and pose some real spiritual risk for the rescuer. In all of this Jude emphasizes Jesus' call to rescue straying sheep, leaving the 99 safely behind and pursuing the 1.
