The document outlines God's plan of salvation according to scripture as involving five steps: 1) Hearing the word of God, 2) Believing in Jesus, 3) Repenting of sins, 4) Confessing faith in Jesus, and 5) Being baptized for the remission of sins. It emphasizes that while people have come up with many plans of salvation, there is only one plan given by God in the Bible. It encourages examining whether one has truly obeyed God's biblical plan of salvation or been deceived by human-made plans.
The document provides information about the five main Levitical sacrifices presented in the Old Testament: burnt offering, meal (grain) offering, peace offering, sin offering, and trespass offering. It describes the rules and procedures for each type of offering based on passages from Leviticus, noting how each offering foreshadowed an aspect of Christ's sacrifice on the cross. The document emphasizes that through the sacrifices, God was establishing a way for people's sins to be atoned for and fellowship with him to be restored.
We are to present our bodies as a living sacrifice to God. What does it mean to present our bodies as a living sacrifice? How do we present our bodies as a living sacrifice?
Why do you think Rahab is listed among the “heroes” of faith in Hebrews 11? Do you feel that some sins in your past or present are so terrible that they can’t be forgiven or that you are unworthy to serve God? How does Rahab’s story encourage you? What was the emotional state of the people in Jericho? (Josh. 2:9, 11; 6:1) How did this confirm God’s promises in Deut. l:21, 29–31? Read carefully Josh. 2:9–13. What did Rahab know about Israel's history? How long before had the Red Sea been crossed? (Ex. l4). How long before had Sihon and Og been conquered? (Deut. 2:26-3:ll) What did Rahab specifically say she believed about the God of Israel? What is impressive about her faith? Could anyone else in Jericho have come to the same conclusions?
If you have attended a Christian church for any length of time how has your life measurably improved? What have you learned about God, the world and yourself that you most likely would not have known apart from attending? What part does the Bible have in your Christian experience and growth? The epistle of James is a practical pedagogy, written to persecuted Messianic Jews, highly relevant to today's Christians.

The document discusses the person and work of the Holy Spirit according to scripture. It describes the Holy Spirit as the third person of the Trinity, who is eternal, omnipresent, omniscient, and omnipotent. The Holy Spirit works in believers to empower them, enable righteousness and fruit of the spirit, and give gifts to serve God and witness to others. Speaking in tongues is mentioned as a potential gift from being filled with the Holy Spirit.

We know the dictionary definition of worship (a feeling, or devotion to a deity), and we have read John 4:24, "God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth"; but, what does the Bible teach us about the subject of worship? This is a series of lessons that gets to the heart of worship and what it really means for Christians.
This document discusses priorities and argues that God should be the highest priority according to the Bible. It begins by asking the reader to rank their priorities of family, self, God, and other people. It then defines priority as something that is of first importance or higher value. The document explains that the Bible provides the answer for what should be priority, calling it the "book of priorities." It gives three reasons from the Bible why God should be the priority: 1) God is the beginning of everything, 2) God is sovereign over everything, and 3) God is the end of everything. It concludes by urging the reader to make God their only priority in everything from beginning to end.
This document provides guidance on growing spiritually through bearing spiritual fruits. It discusses the fruit of the Spirit according to Galatians 5:22-23, which includes love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. It emphasizes that Christians should demonstrate these fruits in their actions and lives. For each fruit, it provides Bible verses explaining what it means and how Christians can cultivate it. The overarching message is that God wants Christians to grow spiritually by developing these Christ-like qualities in their character and behaviors.
2 Timothy is Paul's last Epistle and final words to a dear son in the faith. He addresses the call and life of a minister of God while disclosing much of how he conducted himself in ministry. In chapter 1, Paul challenges us not to be ashamed of testifying to our Lord Jesus Christ.

The document discusses the biblical cities of refuge that provided protection for accidental killers. It notes God established six cities - Kedesh, Shechem, Hebron, Bezer, Ramoth, and Golan - where someone who killed another unintentionally could flee to avoid vengeance. The high priest represented the people before God, and once the high priest died the refugee was free to return home, picturing how Christ's death provides eternal redemption and refuge.

This document discusses putting on the full armor of God to stand against spiritual enemies. It explains that with God's armor, believers can stand firm against opposition. The armor includes truth as a belt, righteousness as a breastplate, readiness to share the gospel, faith as a shield, salvation as a helmet, and the word of God as a sword. Wearing the full armor through obedience to God enables believers to withstand attacks from the evil one.
The document discusses what it means to be a committed Christian. It begins by examining a passage from John about Jesus being glorified and commanding his disciples to love one another. It then defines a committed Christian as someone who is committed to giving God all glory, loving other believers, and having unwavering loyalty to God. The challenges facing the church today that can undermine commitment are identified as religious pluralism, materialism, and secularism. The document emphasizes that true commitment involves living according to God's commands, not just making promises of loyalty.
God is faithful and faithfulness is his character. He cannot contradict himself or do wrong as there is no variation in him. Faithfulness is God's covenant to his people and his assurance to believers. The same standard of faithfulness is required of believers. Unfaithfulness has consequences like being scattered from one's land and facing famine. Knowing the dangers of unfaithfulness, one should commit to being faithful to God and make adjustments if currently unfaithful.
The document discusses potential threats and weaknesses facing churches according to surveys. The number one threat cited is a "lost passion for God" and the top two weaknesses are a "lack of zeal or commitment among members" and a "lack of burden for lost souls." The document then examines five things that can hinder passion for God: misplaced priorities, misused spiritual gifts, unconfessed sin, an unforgiving spirit, and wrong associations. It provides biblical passages exhorting believers to focus first on God's kingdom, use their gifts for others, confess their sins, forgive others, and associate with believers.
This document provides an overview of a seminar on learning to prophesy through visions. The seminar leader believes God gives visions and dreams, but we can shut them out if we don't understand how visions work. The seminar will help attendees realize past experiences may have been revelations from God, not just imagination. Churches are sometimes reluctant to accept visions, discouraging "visionary" people. The seminar aims to provide guidance on developing the gift of visions so people can share their visions instead of leaving churches. Preparing one's senses through sanctification can lead to the spiritual realm. A vision involves supernatural appearances or revelations from God. The seminar will include quick activations to demonstrate signs and re-educating one's
The document discusses how God speaks to His people through the Holy Spirit. It outlines that God spoke through prophets like Moses, Samuel and Isaiah in the past. Now, God speaks through His Son, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit guides believers and gives them gifts like wisdom, healing and prophecy. When the Holy Spirit descended at Pentecost, the disciples were able to preach boldly and perform signs. Believers can still hear God's voice today through reading the Bible, prayer, visions and the Spirit's prompting.
• This wasn’t a suggestion from Jesus…it was a command.
May I suggest that Jesus is doing more than “suggesting” that you cross over to the other side?
God gave us His Word for a purpose. God wants us to be with Him in heaven. To do this we must change from serving Satan to serving God. God gave His Word so we would know how to live our lives. God gave His Word so we would change.
The document discusses the importance of reading the Bible in order to grow in Jesus. It provides several reasons why everyone needs to read Scripture, including that kings were commanded to read it daily, it has been read aloud to groups of people, and must be taught to families. The Bible alone is profitable for doctrine, reproof, correction, and instruction in righteousness. To grow in Christ, we need to read the Bible regularly, analytically, systematically, persistently, completely, expectantly, reverently, and fervently, as well as collectively.
The War Within: Spiritual Warfare (Part V)David Turner
The document discusses the battle between the flesh and spirit within Christians. It notes that while Christians still sin due to their fleshly nature, the spirit has conquered through Christ. The spirit provides victory over sin for those who walk by it rather than their flesh. Christians now have freedom and can please God by living according to the spirit and its fruit, rather than the desires of the flesh. The spirit within believers gives them life and power to overcome their sinful flesh.

Christians now have freedom and can please God by living according to the spirit and its fruit, rather than the desires of the flesh. The document discusses how Jesus endured the cross and suffered for our sins so that we could be justified by faith. It explains that through baptism believers die with Christ to their old sinful nature and are raised with him to new spiritual life. Believers used to be bound to obey the law of sin and death but now are freed to obey the law of the Spirit of life through Christ. The old husband, the flesh, is dead and believers are now married to their new husband Christ so they can bear spiritual fruit for God.
This document provides commentary on several passages from Romans and discusses the difference between being carnally minded versus spiritually minded. It notes that believers will still struggle with sin due to their sin nature, but they are not condemned because they are united with Christ. Unbelievers live according to their sinful nature and have their minds set on fulfilling fleshly desires, whereas believers desire to please God and have their minds set on spiritual things.
1) The document discusses Romans 8:1 and how there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.
2) It provides context from the preceding chapters in Romans about mankind's sinfulness and God's wrath, before concluding that through faith in Jesus, believers are no longer under condemnation.
3) The passage emphasizes that for Christians, there is assurance now that they will not face future judgment, but rather are secure in their salvation through Christ.

Christian freedom is not about what the government can give or take away, but what we have in Jesus. In Jesus we have not only forgiveness of sin, but have been given the power to not be dominated by that sin. We have been freed from sin to live freely for God.

The document provides an overview of Romans 8 from the NRSV and Kingdom New Testament translations. It summarizes that there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, who have been set free from sin and death through God sending his son. It discusses how those whose lives are determined by the Spirit have life and peace, being led as children of God, and nothing can separate believers from God's love in Jesus Christ.
1) The law, including the Law of Moses, only has power over people while they are alive and can no longer punish or bind those who have died.
2) Under the law, a woman was bound to her husband while he was alive, but if he died she was free to remarry without being considered an adulteress.
3) Before Christ, people were bound to the law of sin and death, but through Christ's sacrifice we are now set free from that law and bound to Christ as his bride.
The document contains several passages from the Bible that use the phrase "Do you not know?" Each passage is highlighting something that Christians should understand, such as being baptized into Christ's death, being slaves either to sin or righteousness, and that friendship with the world is against God. The overall message is that Christians are expected to know and understand these fundamental truths revealed in scripture.
This document discusses living a life devoted to God through Jesus Christ rather than being devoted to sin. It notes that through faith in Jesus we have died to sin and been made alive in Him, and should therefore live our lives unto God rather than yielding to sin. It encourages yielding our bodies as instruments of righteousness to serve God rather than committing unrighteous acts or allowing sin to have power over us. The end result of living for God is holiness and eternal life, whereas living for sin leads to shame, death, and separation from God.
DWT - Lesson 7 Disciples with DistinctionGATSOnline
1) Sanctification is a process of spiritual maturation that takes place over time through God's power, not our own efforts. It involves transforming all aspects of our being - spirit, soul, and body.
2) Holiness involves both separating ourselves from sin and dedicating ourselves to God. We are saved by grace, not works, but we are saved unto good works.
3) True holiness is a result of salvation, not a means of earning it. God demands an external witness of our internal holiness through good works.
Weapons of Righteousness Romans 6:1-14David Turner
You’ve been Declared Righteous (innocent) in God’s Court (Justified). You’ve been set free from the Reign of Sin.
Now, Be what you’ve been declared to be!
This document discusses spiritual warfare and the call to be soldiers for Christ. It outlines two types of spiritual warfare: 1) War with self by putting sin to death through the power of the Holy Spirit and focusing on spiritual things. 2) War with the world by fulfilling the Great Commission and spreading the gospel. It provides biblical examples of qualities of a good spiritual soldier, such as courage and faithfulness. The document also reviews the armor of God from Ephesians and emphasizes having the right mindset to not waste one's life but instead be intentional in following God's will.
The document summarizes key points from Romans 8 about living according to the spirit rather than the flesh. It explains that through Christ, believers are free from condemnation and empowered to obey God. The Holy Spirit dwelling within believers helps them think on spiritual things and empowers them to live righteously. As adopted children of God, believers are heirs with Christ and nothing can separate them from God's love.
Romans 8 discusses how there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. The law was powerless to save people from sin and death because it was weakened by human flesh. However, God sent his son Jesus, who lived in human flesh yet was without sin, and condemned sin in the flesh through his sacrifice. By believing in Jesus, Christians are no longer bound by the condemnation and power of sin but are made righteous through the spirit.

The Lord's Prayer was not taught to be repeated without thought as to what it means. It given by our Lord to teach us a model for prayer. In this presentation we will look at the components that make up a the way we ought to pray.
Are we trying to impress the world? Are we trying to impress others? Who are we trying to impress? Ultimately we can impress no one, not even God. But rewards are with God, not because we can impress him, but because he honors those that love him.
Jesus Christ is the source and giver of all life. He created all things and upholds all creation. In Him was life originally and He is the author and sustainer of both physical life and eternal life. The Bible testifies throughout that whoever believes in Jesus Christ has eternal life both now and forever. He alone can grant resurrection and eternal fellowship with God.

I Want To Be Like Sarah - 1 Peter 3:1-9David Turner
1) The document discusses how wives should emulate Sarah by submitting to their husbands. It provides examples of how Sarah submitted to Abraham and calls wives to have a gentle spirit rather than focusing on outward beauty.
2) It encourages wives to submit for the purpose of potentially winning over disobedient husbands through godly living. It also calls husbands to treat wives with consideration and honor.
3) The document concludes by saying Christians should emulate Christ's humility and that being like Sarah means being like Christ.
They Trusted In Something Greater Than ThemselvesDavid Turner
The founding fathers of our nation trusted in something greater than the Declaration of Independence. They trusted in the Bible and the God of the Bible. Our present leaders would do well to put their trust in the same God and the same Bible.
The greatest book of liberty is not a document or a declaration. The greatest book of liberty is the Bible. The bible presents the Gospel, the good news that sets me free.
The Book of Ruth is included in the third division, or the Writings, of the Hebrew Bible. In most Christian canons it is treated as one of the historical books and placed between Judges and 1 Samuel.

It seems that current missionary work requires spending a lot of money, preparing a lot of materials, and traveling to far away places, so that it feels like missionary work. But what was the result they brought back? It's just a lot of photos of activities, fun eating, drinking and some playing games. And then we have to do the same thing next year, never ending. The church once mentioned that a certain missionary would go to the field where she used to work before the end of his life. It seemed that if she had not gone, no one would be willing to go. The reason why these missionary work is so difficult is that no one obeys God’s words, and the Bible is not the main content during missionary work, because in the eyes of those who do not obey God’s words, the Bible is just words and cannot be connected with life, so Reading out God's words is boring because it doesn't have any life experience, so it cannot be connected with human life. I will give a few examples in the hope that this situation can be changed. A375

2. Extreme Change Is Expected In the
Christian Life
The libertine seeks to minimize the change which is
required, wanting to avoid any rules or commands.
They want to speak only of grace and not of
righteousness or God’s Law. They want to continue to
live in sin just as they did as unbelievers. This view is
described and rejected in Romans 6.
To
3. Extreme Change Is Expected In the
Christian Life
The legalist wants to burden the convert to Christ with
rules and regulations. He speaks of righteousness
and holiness, but of the kind men define which is
accomplished by human effort and not divine
enablement. Paul discusses this point of view in
Romans 7, showing legalism to be both sinful and
impossible.
4. When The Mind wants to do what is right
the Flesh wants to satisfy itself. The two
clash. What do we do?
5. Romans 7:21–25 (ESV)
21 So I find it to be a law that when I
want to do right, evil lies close at hand.
22 For I delight in the law of God, in my
inner being, 23 but I see in my members
another law waging war against the law
of my mind and making me captive to the
law of sin that dwells in my members.
24 Wretched man that I am! Who will
deliver me from this body of death?
25 Thanks be to God through Jesus Christ
our Lord! So then, I myself serve the law
of God with my mind, but with my flesh I
serve the law of sin.
6. There is a Better Way!
The battle between the mind (desire for
righteousness) and the flesh (sinful desires) can
only be won through the dependence on, and
enablement by the same Spirit that saved us.
7. Romans 8
• The word “Spirit” is used 22 times in Romans 8,
the theme in the chapter is “Assurance”.
• The chapter starts with “assurance”: “There is
therefore now no condemnation for those who
are in Christ Jesus.”
• The chapter ends with “assurance”: 38 For I am
sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor
rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor
powers, 39 nor height nor depth, nor anything else
in all creation, will be able to separate us from
the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.
8. YOU CAN WIN THE BATTLE BECAUSE
CHRIST HAS ALREADY WON THE WAR
9. Romans 8:1–17 (ESV)
Victory in our battles begin with assurance of what
Christ has done and why He did it.
8 There is therefore now no condemnation for
those who are in Christ Jesus. 2 For the law of the
Spirit of life has set you free in Christ Jesus from the
law of sin and death. 3 For God has done what the
law, weakened by the flesh, could not do. By
sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh
and for sin, he condemned sin in the flesh, 4 in
order that the righteous requirement of the law
might be fulfilled in us, who walk not according to
the flesh but according to the Spirit.
11. We have assurance of victory if we set our mind on
what pleases the Spirit rather than on what pleases
the Flesh.
5 For those who live according to the flesh set their
minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live
according to the Spirit set their minds on the things of
the Spirit. 6 For to set the mind on the flesh is death, but
to set the mind on the Spirit is life and peace. 7 For the
mind that is set on the flesh is hostile to God, for it does
not submit to God’s law; indeed, it cannot. 8 Those who
are in the flesh cannot please God.
12. Victory lies, not in us, but in the One that we know lives
in us.
9 You, however, are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if in
fact the Spirit of God dwells in you. Anyone who does not
have the Spirit of Christ does not belong to him. 10 But if
Christ is in you, although the body is dead because of sin,
the Spirit is life because of righteousness. 11 If the Spirit of
him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, he who
raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your
mortal bodies through his Spirit who dwells in you.
13. Be assured, we owe the Flesh nothing. We owe God
everything. Serve the One you owe.
12 So then, brothers, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live
according to the flesh. 13 For if you live according to the flesh
you will die, but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of
the body, you will live.
15. We Have Assurance because we are adopted Children.
Live as Children looking forward to an inheritance.
14 For all who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God.
15 For you did not receive the spirit of slavery to fall back
into fear, but you have received the Spirit of adoption as
sons, by whom we cry, “Abba! Father!” 16 The Spirit
himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children
of God, 17 and if children, then heirs—heirs of God and
fellow heirs with Christ, provided we suffer with him in
order that we may also be glorified with him.
16. Victory over the flesh is not so much about
doing, as it is in grasping hold of the one that to
saved you and Lean on Him to enable you to
win your battles for you.
