Elevating Tactical DDD Patterns Through Object CalisthenicsDorra BARTAGUIZ
After immersing yourself in the blue book and its red counterpart, attending DDD-focused conferences, and applying tactical patterns, you're left with a crucial question: How do I ensure my design is effective? Tactical patterns within Domain-Driven Design (DDD) serve as guiding principles for creating clear and manageable domain models. However, achieving success with these patterns requires additional guidance. Interestingly, we've observed that a set of constraints initially designed for training purposes remarkably aligns with effective pattern implementation, offering a more ‘mechanical’ approach. Let's explore together how Object Calisthenics can elevate the design of your tactical DDD patterns, offering concrete help for those venturing into DDD for the first time!

Kubernetes & AI - Beauty and the Beast !?! @KCD Istanbul 2024Tobias Schneck
As AI technology is pushing into IT I was wondering myself, as an “infrastructure container kubernetes guy”, how get this fancy AI technology get managed from an infrastructure operational view? Is it possible to apply our lovely cloud native principals as well? What benefit’s both technologies could bring to each other?
Let me take this questions and provide you a short journey through existing deployment models and use cases for AI software. On practical examples, we discuss what cloud/on-premise strategy we may need for applying it to our own infrastructure to get it to work from an enterprise perspective. I want to give an overview about infrastructure requirements and technologies, what could be beneficial or limiting your AI use cases in an enterprise environment. An interactive Demo will give you some insides, what approaches I got already working for real.
LF Energy Webinar: Electrical Grid Modelling and Simulation Through PowSyBl -...DanBrown980551
Do you want to learn how to model and simulate an electrical network from scratch in under an hour?
Then welcome to this PowSyBl workshop, hosted by Rte, the French Transmission System Operator (TSO)!
During the webinar, you will discover the PowSyBl ecosystem as well as handle and study an electrical network through an interactive Python notebook.
PowSyBl is an open source project hosted by LF Energy, which offers a comprehensive set of features for electrical grid modelling and simulation. Among other advanced features, PowSyBl provides:
- A fully editable and extendable library for grid component modelling;
- Visualization tools to display your network;
- Grid simulation tools, such as power flows, security analyses (with or without remedial actions) and sensitivity analyses;
The framework is mostly written in Java, with a Python binding so that Python developers can access PowSyBl functionalities as well.
What you will learn during the webinar:
- For beginners: discover PowSyBl's functionalities through a quick general presentation and the notebook, without needing any expert coding skills;
- For advanced developers: master the skills to efficiently apply PowSyBl functionalities to your real-world scenarios.
Connector Corner: Automate dynamic content and events by pushing a buttonDianaGray10
Here is something new! In our next Connector Corner webinar, we will demonstrate how you can use a single workflow to:
Create a campaign using Mailchimp with merge tags/fields
Send an interactive Slack channel message (using buttons)
Have the message received by managers and peers along with a test email for review
But there’s more:
In a second workflow supporting the same use case, you’ll see:
Your campaign sent to target colleagues for approval
If the “Approve” button is clicked, a Jira/Zendesk ticket is created for the marketing design team
But—if the “Reject” button is pushed, colleagues will be alerted via Slack message
Join us to learn more about this new, human-in-the-loop capability, brought to you by Integration Service connectors.

The Sims 3
1. The Sims 3
By Cammie Hall
FOR A NON-TECHNICAL
AUDIENCE
2. The Sims overview
Before the Sims 3 there was
Sims.
Sims was a lot less complicated
compared to the The Sims 2
and Sims 3
In this powerpoint I will talk
about each of the programs and
how they have improved them
over the years and the future.
But also how it has stretched
from the future to the past.
4. The Sims
You could play The Sims on windows, Machintosh, PlayStation 2, Xbox &
Gamecube.
In its time it was a good quality game that allowed people to play games
like never before.
The game was basic and allowed the user to control most of the aspects
of the sims life.
You get to make the lots. Create the characters and play live mode just
like the others.
One of the mistakes that they made with this game was the limitation
placed. The children couldn’t grow up. The Sims were confined to the
house. The Sims never died so people got bored of them living eternally.
The Sims would get stuck because of chairs, door ways and even
carpets.
But this game was made as simple as possible but still allowing people to
feel like they could live a perfect lives. But as computers were so basic
they didn’t want to overcomplicate things making it simpler than they
wanted but they still got the outcome they wanted.
But a bug was found that was at a inconvenience to the users as it
stopped any user from installing a new expansion pack.
5. The Sims 2
The sims could now be played on PC, xbox, playstation 2 and a few
other games consoles
The Sims 2 was a lot improved compared to The Sims.
The graphics got better and all the other limitations were taken off. You
could age, live through generations of one family and have goals.
The creators try to keep something's the same as it keeps the original
characters and places. But the new additions show how the game has
moved on.
There is also more as with the new and improved computer they could
make it so that the people were not confined to the home and could gain
everyday skills like cooking, painting, athletic etc.
Now in Sims you have goals. Your Sims life isn't a constant cycle,
everything changes as you can pick out a lifetime wish and wishes that
your Sims can complete in order to feel unique as there all always
different with every Sim.
Although theses Sims are improved there are still glitches where the
Sims will do unusual thins that are not supposed to be apart of the game.
But other than that this game was in its prime in its time.
6. The Sims 3
◊ This is the latest addition to the Sims Family.
◊ With all the new and improved graphics, this is by far the best,
and the improved graphics makes it look realistic.
◊ But unfortunately there are still quiet a few glitches especially
with the sims new actions but it is constantly updated and this
helps get rid of the glitches.
◊ With all the new modern computer improvements they made it
much better, as your Sims can do much more and you can see
each of the individual movements.
◊ Not only that but now Sims is not only on game consoles and
computers but phones, iPod etc. This means that you can play
Sims on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Android, IOS and Nintendo
DS.
◊ This game also offers a wider range of feature from changing
the town to changing every slightest detail in your Sims face.
Even colouring is not prohibited.
◊ Sims are now a lot more needy, they cant stay in the house for
too long, they have to eat, sleep, wash, socialise, cleaning the
house, progressing in work, buying shopping, going to school,
participating in town competitions, going for runs etc.
◊ Overall this is best Sims games with all the improvements that
have been made over the years to make Sims better.
7. The Sims 4?
◊ Rumoured, the Sims 4 is
going to be the newest
member of the Sims family.
◊ I suspect that it will be
better than all the other
Sims as they have always
improved throughout the
years.
8. The Sims Medieval
◊ The Sims went into the past.
◊ The Sims medieval is how you would run
a old fashioned English kingdom.
◊ In this you have a primary and a
secondary characters, instead of whole
family that you have to control.
◊ Your Sims can still have families, but you
don’t control there children or spouses.
◊ They don’t die. The only way that you get
rid of them is not completing tasks or
jumping into the pit with the pit monster.
◊ You have to build your kingdom up. You
start with a monarch and from there you
evolve and improve.
9. Other Games that relate to
Sims
◊ There are quite a few games that relate back to the
Sims or hold its name.
◊ Sims city
◊ My Sims
◊ Sims Freeplay
◊ The Sims Carnival
◊ Sims Social
◊ SimEarth
◊ SimAnt
◊ SimFarm
◊ SimRefinery
◊ SimsTower
◊ SimCopter
◊ Streets of SimsCity
◊ SimHealth
◊ SimIsle: missions in the rainforest.
◊ Any many, many more games. And there will be more
added to this list in they near future.
