organization’s internal strengths and weaknesses, as well as
external opportunities and threats.
• It provides a comprehensive view of the current state of the
organization, helping decision-makers identify areas for
improvement and potential growth.
COMPONENTS OF SWOT ANALYSIS
S - STRENGTH
The strongest parts of your business model and your most effective
selling points. The core competencies of your team and your
investments.
Example :
Let us take TATA NANO ;
• Tata Nano is available at a very affordable price
• Common Mans’ Car
• Low maintenance and handling cost of Tata Nano
W - WEAKNESSES
The weakest parts of your business model and weak spots in the sales
funnel. What’s lacking in your team and missing from your investments.
Example :
• Nano catching fire, which further weakened the trust for the brand
‘Nano’ as a whole.
• Perceived as a cheap product which repels the aspirational
customers
O - OPPORTUNITIES
Potential leads, investors, events, and even new target markets
Example :
• Repositioning as an electric or eco-friendly vehicle.
• Targeting niche markets, or exploring collaborations for
technological upgrades.
