The vision to partner with an Africa rising remains strong in times of turmoil and opportunity. The eastern DRC and isolated villages along the Congo River are severely under-developed. International partnerships for faith-based socio-economic development are being invited to help address rural conservation farming, micro enterprise and community development co-operatives in the South-Kivu and Kisangani areas of the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
Meet the most amazing Man! He became like us so we could become like Him. One short, simple prayer could be the beginning of a whole new life that's more wonderful than anything you ever imagined.

The descent of the plague this time was large, violent, and wide-ranging, showing the wrath of God, but why is God so wrathful? If we put ourselves in the perspective of God, He sent Jesus Christ to pave the way for us to live a true and living eternal life. The price is the life of His single beloved Son. He established the church. He hope the church can continue to carry out this mission. However, is the church obeying God's command? And does the church interpret the Bible in accordance with God's will? Do those who participate in the church have salvation? If the answer to the above is no, it is no wonder that God is so angry.
This is a study of just how much Jesus loved children. There is much more to be collected, but this is enough to make the point clear that children are precious to Him.

An overview in missions and how you can get involved and prepared to serve and do the thing that is uniquely Christian, going out and serving others with your talent and love.
The exploited communities in North and South Kivu provinces of the DRC and the isolated communities along the Congo River remain as an accusation against the international Christian community.
Finding open roads between Cape Town and Kisangani via Uvira for Congo River Mission to isolated villages remain fraught with politics, mineral exploitation and divisions within Christianity. Along with Reformation 500 and Livingstone 200+, efforts are continued to fulfill the Biblical mandate and to raie partners of integrity.
Why does Christianity and the church fail to influence society and the ends of the earth convincingly and sustainably? Is the club-like money-making church tendency according to the will and purpose of the Living God? What must be done urgently to save a world in rapid decay? Is the Reformation reforming or deforming the church and society if we sould look at the Protestant church?
The first practical research along the Congo River in 2007, presented for information and awareness. Today the focus of our outreach is on conservation agriculture, micro enterprise and development co-operatives for deep rural communities.
Partnership development for Congo River Mission towards agriculture, micro enterprise and community co-operatives for isolated regions in central Africa.

The Road less Traveled in Africa by Abraham J. Meintjes
1. “The Road less traveled”…
The Great Commission…
Matthew 28:18-20
We invite you to be part of an incredible journey through the
Eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo to Kisangani. We are
crossing geographical and cultural boundaries through God’s
calling, so expect to be both amazed and challenged ….
Revelation 17:14
They will wage war against the Lamb, but the Lamb will triumph over them because he is
Lord of lords and King of kings — and with him will be his
called, chosen and faithful followers.”
…. by Abraham J. Meintjes
2. CONGO RIVER MISSION –
The Great Commission. Matt 28:18-20
Travel with us and be part of a success story by enabling us to open
the portals from Cape Town to Kisangani along the banks of the
Congo River, bringing Good News of Salvation to the people on the
rural banks of the Congo River.
Although accepting God is a free choice, we know that Jesus said,
“No one can come to me unless the Father who sent Me draws him”
and I will raise him up at the last day - John 6:44 and by Grace He
confirms it again and again.
Jeremiah 31:3
The LORD appeared to him from afar, saying, "I have loved you with an
everlasting love; Therefore I have drawn you with loving kindness.
5. The life of a professional Missionary.
"Behold, I am sending you out as sheep in the midst of wolves, so be wise as
serpents and innocent as doves. Beware of men, for they will deliver you over
to courts and flog you in their synagogues, and you will be dragged before
governors and kings for my sake, to bear witness before them and the
Gentiles“ (Matthew 10:16-18).
Trained in all aspects in theology, the local culture of the area, we set out to prepare for each
outreach trying to think of all aspects that might occur.
As Missionaries we are forced to become beggars
to further the cause through talking to churches
organizations, & individuals who would like to
see the Gospel spread, but do not have the ability.
We are not all called to be Missionaries, but
we can all assist in various ways. We trust God
to supply our every need. Although difficult leaving our families
to attend to strangers, we as Missionaries have to complete our calling
no matter how difficult or fraught with danger.
• The need to answer the call in obedience is paramount.
6. El-Shaddai Projects
Vision –
• To assist in the development of self sustainable rural
communities in Southern-Africa (i.e. SADC region,
including DR Congo).
Mission & Aim
• To teach rural communities to use conservation agriculture to feed families.
• November 2015 food security assessment in DRC found an approximately 31%
decline in the number of people experiencing acute food insecurity compared to late
2014.
• Nearly 4.5 million people continue to face acute food insecurity in DRC,
concentrated in conflict-affected areas across seven territories.
Values
• Approach Christian mission with a practical skill-set to spread the Gospel.
GO TEACH TRANSFORM.
Marí & Johan Meintjes
8. Those who over many centuries had bought into Christianity are confident
that the truly Biblical lifestyle brings balance, progress and prosperity to
all who follow Jesus Christ. “At El Shaddai Projects we share the
methodology of Faith in Action”
John 15:15-16 (NSV) No longer do I call you servants, for a servant does not understand what his
master is doing. But I have called you friends, because everything I have learned from My Father I have
made known to you. 16 You did not choose Me, but I chose you. And I appointed you to go and bear fruit
- fruit that will remain — so that whatever you ask the Father in My name, He will give you.
When people get to know
and accept Jesus Christ as
their Savior and resolve to
obey Him, God responds by
giving them the gift of His
Holy Spirit – Acts 2:38
also
Acts 19:5-6
9. To the outside world and the well-established international Christian churches in the reached
world, the concept of an estimated 18 million deep rural dwellers in the Congo River catchment
area seems unreal. The concept of living in isolated villages along and beyond the 1 734 km of
the main navigable stretch of the Congo River between Kisangani and Kinshasa unimaginable. The
147 km from Matadi to Banana, the Atlantic Ocean, the 14 000 km of river banks along a
number of navigable tributaries, are all but a faint mirage. We appeal rather that it not be
ignored at comfortable missions meetings or in luxurious church headquarters.
10. 2 Timothy 6-9
6 For this reason I remind you to fan into flame the gift of God, which is in
you through the laying on of my hands. 7 For the Spirit God gave us does not
make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline. 8 So do not be
ashamed of the testimony about our Lord or of me his prisoner. Rather, join
with me in suffering for the gospel, by the power of God. 9 He has saved us
and called us to a holy life—not because of anything we have done but
because of his own purpose and grace. This grace was given us in Christ
Jesus before the beginning of time.
God’s calling is holy
and unique.
11. 1. If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a
clanging cymbal.
2. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a
faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing.
3. If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not
have love, I gain nothing.
4. Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.
5. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of
wrongs.
6. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.
7. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
8. Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will
be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away.
9. For we know in part and we prophesy in part,
10. but when completeness comes, what is in part disappears.
11. When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became
a man, I put the ways of childhood behind me. For now we see only a reflection as in a mirror; then we
shall see face to face.
12. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.
13. And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.
1 Corinthians 13 NIV
12. ESPI Southern-Africa Development Outreach & Congo River
Mission “Needs & Prayer List”
1. Our immediate requirements are vast yet obtainable. Whether you assist in the gift of a Bible,
or sponsor a liter of Diesel along with your prayer for this mission, it will be enormously
appreciated. We know that you will assist in the manner that God has called you.
2. We need Bibles in French, Congo Swahili and Lingala (for Kivu and Congo River Area),
Portuguese for Mozambique, Chichewa (Malawi) and in English.
3. We need contributions for fuel (Diesel) and general vehicle maintenance.
4. We desperately need a good reliable 4x4 vehicle. A project is visible at the website for the
future replacement of the 1999 Toyota Hilux now moving along towards 500 000 km of farming
and missions service. The hand of God has been over this vehicle.
5. Network referrals for much better Great Commission and Full Gospel cooperation among rural
and agriculturally focused ministries and missions between Cape Town and Kisangani.
6. Sharing and promoting of initiatives for Church Plants that include Centre of Excellence,
agricultural and micro enterprise opportunities for ground level societies.
13. ESPI Southern-Africa Development Outreach & Congo River
Mission “Needs & Prayer List”…continued.
7. Prayer partners and Intercessors to witness daily miracles through God’s amazing plan to
remake human beings into His Spiritual Image 1 John 3:3 See what great love the Father
has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! The
reason the world does not know us is that it did not know Him.
8. We need to partner with Organizations that are already involved in Rural development, as
we need to show God’s love in a practical manner by assisting people to care for
themselves, their families and communities. Most Congo tribes have ancient lineage.
9. We need Partners from the International Christian churches globally who need a partner in
Africa for their mission outreach programs. Together, and with the Grace of God we
could move mountains.
10. We need registered NGO’s and Business who are able to partner with us in various sectors
such as Good News, micro enterprise, alternative energy and conservation agriculture.
11. If possible Partner with Medical organizations prepared to invest by volunteering their
services, medicines, bandages, etc.
12. There is a dire need for Governmental agencies in Southern-Africa and Africa to become
involved. God’s Word changes the World and allows His light to shine in the hearts of all.

Romans 10:14 – 15 New International Version (NIV)
14 How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the
one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them?
15 And how can anyone preach unless they are sent? As it is written: “How beautiful are the feet of
those who bring good news!”[
17. VESSELS OF HONOUR - Oil on Canvas by Priscilla L. Meintjes
This unique painting has been commissioned to be auctioned off towards raising funds for building the MV Good News Trader, a dedicated
riverboat to be used for reaching the unreached, difficult to reach and unattended in Christ Jesus, who live in isolated villages and homesteads
along the banks of the Congo River and its main tributaries.
Vessels of Honour depicts World Mission and the Body of Christ on earth.
In the painting the Curtain leading to the Holy of Holies of the temple – torn in two when
Jesus was crucified and breathed His last, (Matthew 27:51) - is depicted, along with clay
vessels representing the Congregation as the Royal Priesthood, Holy Nation and Chosen
People of God (1 Peter 2:9).
The thin, upright vessel represents the Spiritual Leaders who labour to impart Spiritual
Maturity though the five-fold spiritual gifts (Ephesians 4:11-13), so that every member of
the Congregation may come to Spiritual Maturity, Christian Service, Good Works and Fruit
that last, - each Member according to their individual talents, spiritual gifts, calling in Christ
Jesus, personal ministry and mission task (Romans 12, 1 Corinthians 12, John 15:8-17,
Matthew 28:18-20).
The squat round vessel represents the Members of the Body who are saved, but have become
spiritually obese, apathetic and of no consequence towards letting the Kingdom come on earth
as it is in Heaven – thereby forfeiting their opportunity to prepare a reliable report of good
stewardship for when they will bend the knee before the Throne of Judgment and Reward
(1 Cor 3:8-15).
The vessel with the handle and spout represents Members of the Body who yeast, salt, light and serve diligently, in obedience to the will of
God, to the glory of God and to the good of many so that they may be saved and come to righteousness, peace and the joy of salvation and
victory in Christ Jesus (James 1:22-25, Romans 14:17).
