Richard Romano
 A 20-year New York Police Department veteran, who served
as both an investigator and sergeant, Richard Romano is the
creator, writer, assistant producer, director, and editor of
The Investigator, a feature film based on his personal
experiences in New York and Long Island. Richard Romano,
brother of actor Ray Romano, has a bachelor’s degree in
criminal justice from St. John’s University in Queens, New
York, and is a member of the Fraternal Order of Police
(FOP).
The FOP is a national organization formed to support and
be a voice for the hundreds of thousands of law enforcement
officers that protect the country. FOP recently partnered
with MillerCoors, to participate in Respect 21, a program
formed to prevent underage drinking.
 Respect 21, a joint effort between MillerCoors,
Brandeis University, and the Responsible Retailers
Forum, was developed to help retailers improve or
establish responsible processes and practices to
prevent alcohol sales to minors. Established in
2005, the program has helped over 1,800 retailers
in 55 communities.
The Respect 21 program lasts for 12 months, and
communities work with retailers in a joint effort to
prevent underage access to alcohol. Mystery
shoppers visit businesses to investigate the
retailer’s efficacy in preventing the sale of alcohol
to minors.
