In looking at what sin is we began by reviewing why Jesus came then looked at a definition of sin, how sin flows from idolatry and that the end result is God is denied His glory. We finished by summarizing why we need Jesus adding our understanding of sin.

Building off the parable of the Sower and the Soils. Jesus now turns his disciple’s attention towards counterfeit Christians. Those on the outside who look like they belong to the kingdom of God, but inwardly are devoid of the Holy Spirit and oppose the work of God in this age. To make this teaching come alive before his disciples, Jesus tells them that not all the seed in the field of the world is sown by the son of man, some of it is sown by the kingdom of darkness. However, when we spot a weed in the wheat field, it is not our role to pull them out, rather that is the role of God and His angels at the end of the age when the harvest will take place. Until the Lord returns, we are to faithfully sow the seed of the gospel where God has placed us to counter the work of the enemy.

The judgments during the tribulation represent both the vengeance of God and Christ. There’s Gods vengeance (Deut. 32:35; Hebrews 10:30; Romans 12:19; Rev 20:9-15), Jesus vengeance (Isaiah 61:2; Jeremiah 46:10; Rev 19:11-21), Gods and Jesus vengeance (2 Thessalonians 1:8).
Many of the plagues that unfold in the tribulation, God performed in Egypt as a sign of what was to come in the tribulation. God first hardened Pharaoh’s heart so when Moses went to him, he would not let the people go until God had performed all the miracles that would pre-figure the tribulation plagues (Exodus 10:1-2).

Revelation 12:11
11 They triumphed over him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony;they did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death.
Problem is, these days death aint the thing we shrink from. We can hardly get to a homegroup or church service... “Dude, I’m busy!”

Money and possessions are a fundamental part of our lives.
We need to know what the Word of God has to tell us about how we are to use them.
Giving is a life style. The first 10% belongs to God. This is called a tithe. All other giving is freewill offerings. Giving is an investment into our eternity.

Wealth and Eternity Part 4: The Battle Against Materialism.Resurrection Church
Jesus' parable of the rich fool (Luke 12:13-21) is a picture of a materialist: Someone whose ambitions and plans are centred on this world and possessions. He took no thought of God or eternity. To win the battle we must constantly keep in mind that each person is a steward of what God has given them. Every steward will have to give an account to God of his or her stewardship.

This is vol. 3 of a study of Jesus as a hell fire preacher. Many have studied and written on this passage of Scripture dealing with the rich man in hell, and so we have much to learn about hell from it.
Bible Truths - Prophecy of Daniel and Revelation - The Final Firestorm #10 - What does the Bible teach about hell? Is there a hell? Where is it located and who is in charge of hell? Does it burn forever? We learn that people receive their just rewards "at the last day", not immediately when they die. The dead are currently in their graves.

It seems that current missionary work requires spending a lot of money, preparing a lot of materials, and traveling to far away places, so that it feels like missionary work. But what was the result they brought back? It's just a lot of photos of activities, fun eating, drinking and some playing games. And then we have to do the same thing next year, never ending. The church once mentioned that a certain missionary would go to the field where she used to work before the end of his life. It seemed that if she had not gone, no one would be willing to go. The reason why these missionary work is so difficult is that no one obeys God’s words, and the Bible is not the main content during missionary work, because in the eyes of those who do not obey God’s words, the Bible is just words and cannot be connected with life, so Reading out God's words is boring because it doesn't have any life experience, so it cannot be connected with human life. I will give a few examples in the hope that this situation can be changed. A375

In Jude 17-23 Jude shifts from piling up examples of false teachers from the Old Testament to a series of practical exhortations that flow from apostolic instruction. He preserves for us what may well have been part of the apostolic catechism for the first generation of Christ-followers. In these instructions Jude exhorts the believer to deal with 3 different groups of people: scoffers who are "devoid of the Spirit", believers who have come under the influence of scoffers and believers who are so entrenched in false teaching that they need rescue and pose some real spiritual risk for the rescuer. In all of this Jude emphasizes Jesus' call to rescue straying sheep, leaving the 99 safely behind and pursuing the 1.
