The study examines the Protestant Work Ethic (PWE) in mainland China across various demographic factors, finding strong adherence among individuals with higher education, senior positions, and certain geographic locations. Utilizing a sample of 1703 respondents, it reveals no significant differences in PWE based on gender, age, or work experience, while education, income, and party affiliation highlighted notable variances. This research contributes to understanding how cultural values and socio-economic status influence work ethics beyond traditional religious contexts.
