The film "The Redeemer" follows 19-year-old orphan Lea, who discovers on her 18th birthday that she has mystical abilities as the descendant of angels. She is gifted with sending fallen angels back to heaven, earning her the title of "The Redeemer." However, it is unclear if this is a good or bad thing. The opening scene is a chase through Walthamstow Forest, as Lea tries to escape an abnormal entity trying to kill her. The filmmakers took inspiration from chase scenes in "The Twilight Saga" and "Harry Potter" for the camera angles used. They intend to have a narrative title sequence to introduce the characters and set up the story in a clear

The world is being changed fundamentally by AI and we are constantly faced with newspaper headlines about its harmful effects. However, there is also the potential to both ameliorate theses harms and use the new abilities of AI to transform society for the good. Can you make the difference?
2. The film
The title of the film is called the Redeemer.
Lea is a 19 year old orphan. A fair hearted woman, abandoned at birth.
spending her life growing up in care homes and under the roof of people who
plaid to love her. On her 18th birthday, Charley was woken in the night by a
pain on her leg to find a R scarred on her ankle. Her parents were part of a
hidden mystical life that lived in secret among the humans here on Earth.
Angels. Only Lea was not a normal angel. She was gifted with the ability to
send fallen angels back to heaven. She was the Redeemer. But is this a good
or bad thing?
The opening title of The Redeemer is a chase scene in Walthamstow Forest
that consist of our main character Lea trying to escape from an abnormal
source trying to kill her. The sequence will end with an extreme close up of
Lea’s eyes opening to singing if was only a dream. Then the title of the movie
will appear on black screen credits.
3. Films we took inspiration from…
We took inspiration from ‘The Twilight
Saga’ chase scene in the forest. This is
due to the fact that most of the camera
angles used are going to be
implemented into our film. For example
the over the shoulder shot of Alice(the
red headed women) lifting up the man is
similar to what we want to in our film.
Another inspiration was the ‘Harry
Potter and The Deathly Hallows’ chase
scene in the forest. For the same reason
as stated before there are camera angels
used in the sequence that we want to
mimic and put into our film.
4. Title Sequence
We intend to have a narrative title sequence, to help make our opening title sequence
easier and clearer for our target audience to understand and follow, this will include
all the different credits necessary and the film title.
Many different title sequences influenced us to have a narrative title sequence, we
was mainly influenced by the breakfast club, this is because the opening title
sequence for the breakfast is all narrative, however its very simple and easy to follow,
especially as the title sequence itself doesn't have very much information or detail on
the story line, ultimately this helps to keep elements of suspense throughout the rest
of the film, which would make the audience want to continue watching.
Another mainly narrative title sequence that has influenced our ideas is the title
sequence to 4.3.2.1 which is a low budget British film set in the urban streets of south
London, this film influenced our idea because of its unique color schemes, the title
sequence is in all black and white, only uses color to enhance and make certain
important features that then become key elements throughout the rest of the film,
the color scheme makes it easy for the audience to recognize these key elements, this
therefore allows them to follow along with the storyline and pick up the subtle clues
that are showed making it easy to understand.
5. Genre
The genre that we have decided to opt for is the
thriller genre when creating our film. This is
because within the thriller genre there are both
elements of suspense and tension, which we
believe would blend well together within the
chase scene in the film.
The sub genre would be fantasy as the main
character is being chased by an
abnormal/supernatural being.
6. Location/Setting
The beginning of the film will
be shot in Lea’s bedroom,
where we will get a range of
close ups and establishing
shots.
Another location will be
outside a block of flats. We
want to show an urban setting
to give the audience a sense
that the character (Lea) is in a
potentially dangerous place.
The final location we will be
filming in will be Walthamstow.
This is where the chase scene
will take place.
7. Props and costume
The supernatural figure will be
wearing dark clothing and will
have a mask on its face. This is
going to add to the tension
element in our film because
without seeing the figures face
or actual appearance the
audience is left guessing
whether or not the follower is
human or not.
Lea whilst in bed will be
wearing pajamas and whilst
outside she is going to be
wearing jeans and a purple
jacket.
8. Sound design
• Throughout the opening scene we will be using
asynchronous sound, this is because we want to
leave the audience guessing as to what is going to
come next. What I mean by this is that certain
music genres are associated with certain types of
film genres. For instance if someone was to play
rock music during a film, you might expect to see
an action sequence take place. By having music
playing that isn't associated with our genre, it
leaves the audience clueless as to what is going
to happen.
