• In February 2015, Twitter purchased Periscope, an iOS live broadcast app.
• By late March, Periscope.tv was launched.
• In May 2015, Periscope was also released for Android users.
• After 10 days the app has 1 million accounts, in August 10 million accounts, in October 15 million
accounts with 2 million daily active users. Since November Periscope is also on Apple TV.

Roughly six months after the first release of the Periscope app there have been the 1st Scope Week in
September 2015 in NYC (Periscope Summit).
For a quick start in Germany and Europe as well Sybille Hubig and Göran Nitsche started to develop
and promote the idea of the Periscope Rally to show the various opportunities to use Periscope for
beginners, advanced users and professionals as well.
We want to bring Periscope livestreamer together from all over the world, especially from Germany
and Europe.

11. Future Aspects
• In the near future we will plan and organize more Periscope Rally events in Germany, Europe and
overseas. This actual Rally event in Leipzig is the start and more events will follow. With this
initiative we want to develop a local and global Movement, which will be supported by sponsors,
Periscope, Periscope users, livestreaming enthusiasts and others.
• We want to open the virtual live experience to a wider group in Germany and Europe; groups who
are already very active in social media but also groups which haven´t yet discovered the full
spectrum and the unlimited possibilities of Periscope.
• The founders of the Periscope Rally Movement are planning future long-term corporations with the
existing platforms „Scope Day“, „Periscope Summit“… etc. which are very successful in the US and
by viewers worldwide with a rising media coverage.
We want to accompany you to the great future of livestreaming and broadcasting.
