The Nobel Prize is an annual international award established by Swedish chemist Alfred Nobel in his will in 1901. It is awarded in five categories: Physics, Chemistry, Physiology or Medicine, Literature, and Peace. Each prize consists of a medal, personal diploma, and cash award that is administered by the Nobel Foundation in Sweden.
