This document provides a scene description and visual effect breakdown for a school scene in the morning. It includes live action footage of a character introducing himself and demonstrating powers by turning invisible, as well as stock footage, After Effects generated invisibility effects, and a matte painting of a school background for masking.
This scene takes place at a school and shows Lauren introducing herself to Reece by using her unique power to levitate various objects like books and a clock above Reece's head through a combination of live action footage of Lauren talking and gesturing alongside stock footage effects and 3D modeled objects composited together in After Effects.
Lauren uses her air powers to levitate zombies and throw them against a wall inside the main hall of Merriweather Academy. The group needs to film Lauren pretending to use her arms to lift the zombies, then film the zombies pretending to be hit by something and against the wall. Stock footage of fire, explosions and airy sparkles will be used. Distorted zombies and matte paintings are also needed.
Kieran uses his invisibility to attack zombies in the main hall of Merriweather Academy without being seen, while the group works to defeat the zombies. Stock footage of flames and explosions will be incorporated, along with digitally warped zombie faces and CGI models. Chromakey compositing will not be used.
Reece teleports from the containers behind his school to the school toilets. The scene will show Reece near the containers, jumping up, and then landing in the toilets. Stock footage of invisible teleporting with smoke will be combined with live action shots and matte paintings of the container background through After Effects to create the teleportation effect.
Reece teleports behind a group of friends at the entrance of Merriweather Academy to copy their display of powers. The scene will be filmed showing Reece in his original spot and then behind the group, with smoke added when he disappears during the teleportation. Photographs of both locations will provide backdrops, while no 3D models or chromakey effects are needed.
Rizzo shows off her superpower of flexibility by moving her arms at the main entrance of Merriweather Academy, where a group of newly made friends are introducing themselves. Footage will include live action shots of just Rizzo as she moves her arms, with computer generated effects adding flexibility to her arms and legs.
A group of friends are having lunch at Merriweather Academy when the ground begins to tremble and crack open. Footage will be captured of the friends sitting together on a green screen, and stock explosion footage will be added when cracks emerge on the floor. No additional matte paintings, CGI models, or chromakey effects are required.
The document describes a scene taking place in the lunch hall of Merriweather Academy, where zombies are smashing through windows and emerging from cracks in the floor. Footage will be captured of costumed characters breaking through the floor and windows on a green screen, combined with stock effects of glass breaking and fire. Computer-generated face distortions will be added to the zombies.

1. The Motocross Man
Written By
Maia Creed
A five minute short documentary about the life of my
granddad, the British Motocross Championship Winner of 1966,
and his upbringing surrounding his interest of motorbikes.
This Documentary is based on the career of my Granddad and
how he became the British Motorcycling Champion in 1966, for
example the training. I have interviewed him about his
career and how it has affected him over the years.
Additionally, I will include archive footage to help
establish the context of the documentary. This short will be
an interview-based Documentary and you won't be able to hear
the interviewers voice, and hopefully this Documentary and
the questions I ask my Granddad will allow him to reflect on
his career and all that he's achieved.

(HEARD DIALOGUE)

(HEARD DIALOGUE)
FREDDIE
I got my first motorbike when I was
twelve. I had learnt to ride when I
was eleven on a 125cc BSA Bantam on
some private waste land. This was
just a normal road-going machine so
as I wanted to ride off-road we
brought an old bike and converted
it for off-road use.

FREDDIE
I started entering competitions
when I was thirteen in Trials and
then entered my first Scramble (now
called Motocross) when I was
fifteen. I actually wanted to road
race, but you had to be seventeen
at the time, so I thought I'd
switch to that. However, when the
time came, I was quite good at
Scrambling so I stuck at that
instead.

I have had a few accidents. I broke
my leg when I was eighteen, a bone
in my back when I was twenty, and
my arm and nose when I was
thirty-three. They were the only
serious injuries. When I broke a
bone in my back, I was hospitalised
after my first outing on a Villiers
Starmaker-engined 250 bike, and the
racing conditions were treacherous.
