Ph.D. Programme
One hundred and twelve (112) studies have been completed in different fields of water resources engineering and water management.
Presently twenty six (26) candidates are working on their Ph.D. programme with specialization in Hydraulics, Climate Change, IWRM,
Periurban water issues, Ground Water Engineering, Urban Storm Water Modeling, Rain Water Harvesting, Waste Water Reuse, Tank
System Rehabilitation, Irrigation Sociology, Gender issues, etc. Anna University supports the Ph.D programme, two scholars (every
year) through Anna Centenary Fellowship for the scholar registered in this Centre.

the year 1979 under the auspices of the Department
of Civil Engineering.
