This document presents a study of the intermediate-age open cluster NGC 2158 based on UBVRI CCD photometry. The key findings are:
1) The color-magnitude diagrams show a prominent red giant clump at V ≈ 15.0, (B-V) ≈ 1.5 and a turn-off point at V ≈ 16.0, (B-V) ≈ 1.0.
2) Analysis of the (B-I) vs (B-V) diagram yields a mean reddening of EB-V = 0.55 ± 0.10 for the cluster.
3) The elongated shape of the red giant clump in the CMD is
