TCA is committed to enhancing members’ ability to provide safe, reliable transportation services. One way TCA supports this goal is through the Highway Angel program.
TCA created Highway Angel in 1997 to recognize truck drivers who have shown courtesy and courage on roadways in North America. Each year, approximately 50 truck drivers receive Highway Angel recognition. Since the program’s start, over 1,500 truck drivers have earned commendation.
The stories of Highway Angels are exemplary. One truck driver from Delaware was recognized for rescuing and comforting a family after an accident. A truck driver from Oklahoma helped a grandfather and his grandson escape their overturned vehicle and kept them safe until authorities were on the scene.
An Overview of Resources Offered by the TRC's Truckload Academy

An Overview of Ducks Unlimited Youth Programs

TCA was finally birthed when the board of directors of the Interstate Truckload Carriers Conference changed the association’s name to Truckload Carriers Association in March 1997.
