Sherlock Holmes and Dr Watson start guessing the
identity of the owner of a cane that has been left
behind at heir office by an unknown visitor.
Holmes predicts that the owner is James Mortimer, who
just in that moment walks in.
Mortimer explains the reason of his visit and
reads a scroll that Sir Charles Baskervilles, his
best friend, had written before his death. The
scroll recounts the myth of Hugo Baskerville.
Hugo was a wicked and violent man who fell in love
with a peasant who avoided him.
One day Hugo and his friends kidnapped the young girl
and locked her up.
Despite being locked up she managed to escape so
Hugo sent the Hound after her.
The hounds did not act as expected and ended up
ripping and tearing Hugo to bits. Since then, the
Baskervilles have been haunted by the hound.
Mortimer seeks advice in Holmes, so that the new
owner, Sir Henry, doesn’t meet the same fate.
Mortimer and Sir Henry arrive at Sherlock’s house
with a threatening note advising him to leave the
moor.
Sherlock and Watson discover that Sir Henry
is being followed.
Sherlock finds the follower’s driver an asks
him to answer questions in return of money
The persuer calles himself Sherlome
Holmes
Sir Henry decides that he will go and live in
the old house, but as it is too dangerous to
go alone, Watson will go with him while
Sherlock stays in London.
They are welcomed to the house by
the butler Mr. Barrymore and his wife.
Dr Watson runs into the neighbour, Mr
Stapleton and his sister, on his way back to
the house.
Stapleton’s sister warns him to go back to
London for his own sake.
Watson, who is keeping an eye out, sends
Sherlock letters about everything that goes
on.
The night before, Watson discovers
Barrymore, going into one the rooms and
mysteriously signaling around a candlelight
onto the moor.
The following night Watson and Sir Henry
decide to follow him.
Barrymore confeses that the signals are to
communicate with his wife’s brother who is
a fugitive and to whom he looks after
provinding water and food.
Since Watson decides to keep the secret,
Barrymore lets him out on another secret
about Sir Charles death.
The day of his death, Sir Charles, was waiting
for a lady whose innitial are L.L. That night
they were supposed to meet on the moor.
Mrs Lyons confirms that she was going to
meet up with him but decided not to in the
end.
Watson decides to go and talk with the
fugitive but instead he find himself with
Sherlock.
Holmes had been hiding in the moor to
make people believe that he was still in
London. This way, he could carry out the
investigation from two different points of
view.
Holmes has discovered that the Sapleton’s
are not siblings, that they are married.
Suddenly, they hear a loud scream and find
that the hound has killed the fugitive.
While having dinner Sherlock notices the
different pictures on the wall and thinks that
Hugo looks just like Mr Stapleton, being in
that case a Baskerville.
To investigate a bit more Sherlock and
Watson go and visit Mrs Lyons again. This
time she tells them all the truth…
Sherlock and Watson hide outside Mr
Stapleton’s house while he dinnes with Sir
Henry. On his way home, Sir Henry is
attacked by the hound.
Holmes shoots the hound and killes the
Hound of the Baskervilles.
The next step is to go after Mr Stapleton, but he
is no longer at home. The only person there is
Mrs Stapleton who is tied up and who has been
brutely beated.
They know where he could be: at the moor. He is
nowhere to be found, he must have been
swalloded by the swamp.
Sherlock ties up the loose
ends for Watson.
