The Holocaust was the systematic persecution and murder of approximately six million Jews by the Nazi regime between 1933-1945. The Nazis believed Germans were racially superior and targeted Jews, Roma, Slavs, disabled people, and others they deemed racially inferior for persecution and genocide. Over two-thirds of Europe's Jewish population was murdered as part of the Nazis' "Final Solution." In addition to Jews, the Nazis also murdered over 200,000 Roma people, 200,000 disabled patients, and over one million children.
This was produced by a fabulous student called Joe B who I was lucky to have taught GCSE History. As part of the class's work he was asked to produced an explanation of how propaganda was used by the Nazis to control the German people and this is his finished work

Viel Erfolg.
There are very few people in this world that haven't been exposed to the facts about what was happening in Germany during World War II. This was such a significant event in time that I believe people will still be studying about it years to come. Millions of people were murdered ruthlessly by German Nazis and it is not an even that can be easily forgotten.
This is a presentation on Non Jewish Victims of the Holocaust. In addition to the Approximately 6 million Jews that were murdered, there were other groups that were Holocaust victims, including 3.3 million Soviet POW's; about 300,000 Gypsies or Roma; 2 million non Jewish Poles; 250,000 mentally and physically disabled; 15,000 homosexuals; 5,000 Jehovah’s Witnesses, and an untold number of Roman Catholics. (The Nazi authorities in the concentration camps usually did not record the religious affiliation of a prisoner, with the exception of the Jehovah Witnesses; therefore, it is difficult to reliably estimate the total number of Catholic victims who were persecuted or killed because of some action or position connected to their Catholic faith).
This is a presentation I created for a class that I just took on the Holocaust. In addition to the 6 million Jewish victims of the Holocaust, my presentation includes information about the 3.3 million Soviet POW's; about 300,000 Gypsies or Roma; 2 million non Jewish Poles; 250,000 mentally and physically disabled; 15,000 homosexuals; 5,000 Jehovah’s Witnesses, and an untold number of Roman Catholics. To Zoe, Aliza, Liat, Andrew, Morgan:
I created this presentation with custom animation, which does not work with this website. HOWEVER, if you look near the top, above the presentation box, there is a link to download the powerpoint. Please download it and view the slideshow on Microsoft Powerpoint -- then you can actually read the text!
Thanks, and sorry for the inconvenience.
