The giant pacific octopus lives in rocky areas, caves, and kelp forests from the shore down to depths of over 500 feet. It is preyed upon by moray eels, wolf eels, halibut, seals and otters, and preys on fish, shrimp, scallops, crabs, clams, and other shellfish. The giant pacific octopus can grow up to 20 feet long and weigh over 100 pounds, has a short lifespan of 1-5 years, and lives in the northern Pacific Ocean.
