An MoU was signed between the Agricultural Development Trust of Baramati and ICRISAT to introduce new crop varieties and technologies to farmers in western India. The collaboration aims to help double farmers' incomes as part of India's agricultural development plan. Technologies being introduced include improved varieties of pigeonpea and intercropping systems of pigeonpea with sugarcane. ICRISAT and the Agricultural Development Trust will work together to demonstrate these new options to farmers in the region.
