 After receiving her AS in business marketing from

York, in 1993, Ana Docoito-Nelson went on a successful
business career. Currently employed as the property

Rochelle, Ana Docoito-Nelson is a fan of spicy Thai
food.
One of the truly unique and well-liked cuisines in the
gastronomic world today, Thai food is an eclectic
fusion of the five basic tastes of salty, spicy, bitter,
sweet, and sour.

3. Thai Food
 The current ethnic Tai people originally came from the
mountains of southwest China between the 600 AD
and 1300 AD, and they brought their Chinese culinary
techniques with them.
Thailand was on the ancient trading sea routes
between the East and West, thus Thai food
incorporated elements and spices from both Persia
and the Middle East. Legend has it that Buddhist
monks hailing from India introduced curry into Thai
food, and Portuguese traders brought their sweets in
the 17th century.
