INTRODUCTION
Exegesis is a critical explanation or interpretation of a text,
particulary a religious text, traditionally the term was used primarily
for the work with the Bible; however, in modern usage Biblical Exegesis
is used for greater specificity to distinguish it from any other broader
critical text explanation (28). Biblical hermeneutics is the study of the
principles of interpretation concerning the books of the Bible (10).
Analogy is a cognitive process of transferring information
or meaning, from a particular subject to another, or a linguistic
expression to such a process; it is an inference or an argument from
one particular to another, as opposed to deduction or induction,
where at least one of the premises or the conclusion is general (4). In
statistics, an association is any relationship between two measured
quantities that renders them statistically dependent, and the term
“association” is closely related to the term “correlation”, both terms
imply that two or more variables vary according to some pattern;
however,itisimportanttonotethatneitherassociationnorcorrelation
establish causality (6). An anagram is a type of word play, the results
of rearranging the letters of a word or phrase to produce a new word
or phrase, using the original letters exactly only once, the goal of a
serious or skilled anagrammamist is to produce anagrams that in
some way reflect or comment on the subject (3).
As wisely described, by the publishers, of the 1899 Douay-Rheims
Version of the Bible, Saint Jerome (Eusebius Hieronymus, 342-420)
was a man truly raised up by God, to translate Our Lord’s Holy
Scriptures; it is so, because his translation to the Latin Vulgate from
the original languages is simply a Gift from God to humanity, for the
perpetual consecration of his creation (22). In my theory, one of the
first things that I discovered when studying and interpreting The
Sacred Scriptures was that we must utilize the entire Bible, including
the Annotations and the Historical Index.
The origin of my Bible Interpretation and Theory = Specific
Alternate Meaning is Supplemental, began when, while reading the

Bible I noticed a tendency of repetition of some verses of the Sacred
Scriptures; thus, the initial discovery that the number of verses under
a specific topic was Seven. The concept of my manuscript in the design
anddevelopmentofthemethodologyofmyTheoryincludes,Repetition
(Verses  Words), Pronunciation (English / Spanish), Syllable Division,
Biblical Names, Anagrams, Analogies, and Associations, with emphasis
on relevancy (2016) and specificity (Please refer to references for
definitions).

TIME, TIMES, AND A HALF TIME(7)
1)	 Daniel 7:25 And he shall speak words against the High One, and
he shall think to himself able to change times and laws, and they
shall be delivered into his hand until a time, and times, and half
a time.

stood upon the waters of the river: when he had lifted up his right

soul of this child, I beseech thee, return into his body.

the sea. And he went up, and looked, and said: There is nothing.
And again he said to him: Return seven times.
3)	 3 Kings 18:44 And at the seventh time, behold, a little cloud arose

Prepare thy chariot and o down, lest the rain prevent thee.

ANNOTATIONS
2 Thessalonians 2:3. Let no man deceive you by any means: for
unless there come a revolt first, and the man of sin be revealed,
the son of perdition
A REVOLT. . .This revolt, or falling off, is generally understood,
by the ancient fathers, of a revolt from the Roman empire, which
was first to be destroyed, before the coming of Antichrist. It may,
perhaps, be understood also of a revolt of many nations from the
Catholic Church; which has, in part, happened already, by means
of Mahomet, Luther, c., and it may be supposed, will be more
general in the days of the Antichrist. The man of sin. . .Here must
be meant some particular man, as is evident from the frequent
repetition of the Greek article: o`, ‘the’ man of sin, ‘the’ son of
perdition, ‘the’ adversary or opposer. It agrees to the wicked and
great Antichrist, who will come before the end of the world.

The rationale regarding my Douay Rheims Bible Interpretation
of the Sacred Scriptures, came to me early in my studies (2009),
while pondering the meaning of the identification of “The SEVEN”
Verses, and the discovery of the meaning of NET (TEN), as they
provided me with an additional source of investigation. However, in
my analysis of The Scriptures others numbers came into play (8, 9,
12, 15), thus after further study, analysis and interpretation of the
Bible and relevant research, I reached the conclusions regarding my
Theory (2016). The verses that I selected and grouped together, mostly
contain and share common features, phrases and words, or on some
instances they were based on my intuition alone. The Systematic
Methodology that I utilized in order to perform my interpretations
was based on Repetition (Verses  Words), Pronunciation (English /
Spanish), Syllable Division, Biblical Names, Anagrams, Analogies, and
Associations, with emphasis on Relevance and Specificity.
The application of any of these factors at different times, by
themselves or in combination with one or others, produced the final
results of my Bible Interpretations and Theory = Specific Alternate
Meaning is Supplemental. A process that took seven years of study and
analysis,andwhichincludedatleastasmuchasfourtimestheresearch
utilized in this book; a period in which the results, interpretations
and conclusions changed frequently and significantly. A fact that
could only be explained by the knowledge acquired by the author,
new research, and the non-traditional linguistic method utilized. It
must be noted that I firmly believe that we should use the entire
bible when attempting to interpret it, including the Annotations and
The Historical and Chronological Index. Finally, in order to achieve

PART II: SELECTED BIBLE STUDY VERSES
This Bible study method is based on the Douay Rheims Bible,
translated into the Latin Vulgate by St. Jerome (342-420) from the
original languages.
The Old Testament was first published by the English College
at Douay A.D. 1609  1610, The New Testament was first published
by the English College at Rheims A.D. 1582, and the whole
translation was revised (including the annotations) by Bishop
Richard Challoner A.D. 1749-1752 (1). It consists of my selection
and chronological placement of specific verses and corresponding
annotations (2), with the purpose of providing the reader with
inspiration and assistance in the understanding of my Bible
Interpretations. The reasoning for this specific selection is the
usefullness of the wisdom of the authors of the Vulgate, with
regards to all things considered Divine, and the knowledge that
they provided this author when interpreting the Bible.
GENESIS
1)	 Genesis 2:2. And on the seventh day God ended his work which
he had made: and he rested on the seventh day from all his
work which he had done.
He rested, etc. . . That is, he ceased to make or create any new
kinds of things. Though, as our Lord tells us, John 5.17, “He still
worketh”, viz., by conserving and governing all things, and
creating souls.
2)	 Genesis 7:2. Of all clean beasts take seven and seven, the male
and the female.
Of all clean. . . The distinction of clean and unclean beasts
appears to have been made before the law of Moses, which was
not promulgated till the year of the world 2514.

3)	 Genesis 8:20. And NOE built an altar unto the Lord: and taking
of all cattle and fowls that were clean, offered holocausts upon
the altar.
Holocausts,. . . or whole burnt offerings. In which the whole victim
was consumed by fire upon God’s altar, and no part was reserved
for the use of priest or people.
4)	 Genesis 9:21. And drinking of the wine was made drunk, and
was uncovered in his tent.
Drunk. . . NOE by the judgment of the fathers was not guilty of sin,
in being overcome by wine: because he knew not the strength of it.
ECCLESIASTICUS
5)	 Ecclesiasticus 46:1. Valiant in war was Jesus the son of Nave,
who was successor of Moses among the prophets, who was
great according to his name,
JESUS THE SON OF NAVE. . . So Josue is named in the Greek Bibles.
For Josue and Jesus signify the same thing, viz., a saviour.
ISAIAS
6)	 Isaias 2:2. And in the last days the mountain of the house
of the Lord shall be prepared on the top of mountains, and
it shall be exalted above the hills, and all nations shall flow
unto it.
The last days. . . The whole time of the new law, from the coming
of Christ till the end of the world, is called in the scripture the
last days; because no other age or time shall come after it, but
only eternity.--Ibid. On the top of mountains, etc. . . This shews
the perpetual visibility of the church of Christ: for a mountain
upon the top of mountains cannot be hid.

7)	 Isaias 4:2. In that day the bud of the Lord shall be in
magnificence and glory, and the fruit of the earth shall be
high, and a great joy to them that shall have escaped of Israel.
The bud of the Lord. . . That is, Christ.
8)	 Isaias 18:2. That sendeth ambassadors by the sea, and in
vessels of bulrushes upon the waters. Go, ye swift angels, to
a nation rent and torn in pieces: to a terrible people, after
which there is no other: to a nation expecting and trodden
underfoot, whose land the rivers have spoiled.
Angels. . . Or messengers.
9)	 Isaias 21:11. The burden of Duma calleth to me out of Seir:
Watchman, what of the night? watchman, what of the night?
Duma. . . That is, Idumea, or Edom.
10)	Isaias 33:21. Because only there our Lord is magnificent:
a place of rivers, very broad and spacious streams: no ship
with oars shall pass by it, neither shall the great galley pass
through it.
Of rivers. . . He speaks of the rivers of endless joys that flow from
the throne of God to water the heavenly Jerusalem, where no
enemy’s ship can come, etc.
11)	Isaias 34:5. For my sword is inebriated in heaven: behold it
shall come down upon Idumea, and upon the people of my
slaughter unto judgment.
Idumea. . . Under the name of Idumea, or Edom a people that were
enemies of the Jews, are here understood the wicked in general,
the enemies of God and his church.

12)	Isaias 63:1. Who is this that cometh from Edom, with dyed
garments from Bosra, this beautiful one in his robe, walking
in the greatness of his strength. I, that speak justice, and am
a defender to save.
Edom. . . Edom and Bosra (a strong city of Edom) are here taken in
a mystical sense for the enemies of Christ and his church.
JEREMIAS
13)	Jeremias 10:23. I know, O Lord, that the way of a man is not his:
neither is it in a man to walk, and to direct his steps.
The way of a man is not his. . . The meaning is, that notwithstanding
man’s free will, yet he can do no good without God’s help, nor evil
without his permission. So that, in the present case, all the evils
which Nabuchodonosor was about to bring upon Jerusalem, could
not have come but by the will of God.
14)	Jeremias 25:9. Behold I will send, and take all the kindreds
of the north, saith the Lord, and Nabuchodonosor the king
of Babylon my servant: and I will bring them against this
land, and against the inhabitants thereof, and against all the
nations that are round about it: and I will destroy them, and
make them an astonishment and a hissing, and perpetual
desolations.
My servant. . . So this wicked king is here called; because God
made him his instrument in punishing the sins of his people.
15)	Jeremias 25:38. He hath forsaken his covert as the lion, for
the land is laid waste because of the wrath of the dove, and
because of the fierce anger of the Lord.
The dove. . . This is commonly understood of Nabuchodonosor,
whose military standard, it is said, was a dove. But the Hebrew
word Jonah, which is here rendered a dove, may also signify a

waster or oppressor, which name better agrees to that unmerciful
prince; or by comparison, as a dove’s flight is the swiftest, so
would their destruction come upon them.
16)	Jeremias 27:7. And all nations shall serve him, and his son, and
his son’s son: till the time come for his land and himself: and
many nations and great kings shall serve him. His son. . . Viz.,
Evilmerodach; and his son’s son, Nabonydus, or Nabonadius,
the Baltassar of Daniel, chap. 5., and the last of the Chaldean
kings.
17)	Jeremias 46:25. The Lord of hosts the God of Israel hath said:
Behold I will visit upon the tumult of Alexandria, and upon
Pharao, and upon Egypt, and upon her gods, and upon her
kings, and upon Pharao, and upon them that trust in him.
Visit upon. . . That is, punish.--Ibid. Alexandria. . . In the Hebrew,
No, which was the ancient name of the city, to which Alexander
gave afterwards the name of Alexandria.
18)	Jeremias 49:28. Against Cedar and against the kingdoms of
Asor, which Nabuchodonosor king of Babylon destroyed. Thus
saith the Lord: Arise, and go ye up to Cedar, and waste the
children of the east.
Cedar and Asor. . . Were parts of Arabia; which with Moab, Ammon,
Edom, etc., were all brought under the yoke of Nabuchodonosor.
19)	Jeremias 50:2. Declare ye among the nations, and publish it,
lift up a standard: proclaim, and conceal it not: say: Babylon
is taken, Bel is confounded, Merodach is overthrown, their
graven things are confounded, their idols are overthrown.
Bel, etc. . . Bel and Merodach were worshipped for gods by the men
of Babylon.

Living creatures. . . Cherubims (as appears from Ecclesiasticus
49.10) represented to the prophet under these mysterious shapes,
as supporting the throne of God, and as it were drawing his chariot.
All this chapter appeared so obscure, and so full of mysteries to the
ancient Hebrews, that, as we learn from St. Jerome, (Ep. ad Paulin.,)
they suffered none to read it before they were thirty years old.
22)	Ezechiel 3:1. And he said to me: Son of man, eat all that thou
shalt find: eat this book, and go speak to the children of Israel.
Eat this book, and go speak to the children of Israel. . . By this eating
of the book was signified the diligent attention and affection with
which we are to receive, and embrace the word of God; and to let
it, as it were, sink into our interior by devout meditation.
23)	Ezechiel 11:10. You shall fall by the sword: I will judge you in
the borders of Israel, and you shall know that I am the Lord.
In the borders of Israel. . . They pretended that they should die

they should be judged and condemned, and fall by the sword in
the borders of Israel: viz., in Reblatha in the land of Emath, where

Christians, that spiritually live in and by these holy waters, the
fishermen are the apostles, and apostolic preachers: the fenny
places, where there is no health, are such as by being out of the
church are separated from these waters of life.
DANIEL
31)	Daniel 2:1. In the second year of the reign of Nabuchodonosor,
Nabuchodonosor had a dream, and his spirit was terrified, and
his dream went out of his mind.
The second year. . . Viz., from the death of his father Nabopolassar;
for he had reigned before as partner with his father in the empire.
32)	Daniel 3:24. And they walked in the midst of the flame,
praising God, and blessing the Lord.

And they walked, etc. . . Here St. Jerome takes notice, that from
this verse, to ver. 91, was not in the Hebrew in his time. But as it
was in all the Greek Bibles, (which were originally translated from
the Hebrew,) it is more than probable that it had been formerly in
the Hebrew or rather in the Chaldaic, in which the book of Daniel
was written. But this is certain: that it is, and has been of old,
received by the church, and read as canonical scripture in her
liturgy, and divine offices.
33)	Daniel 3:98. Nabuchodonosor, the king, to all peoples, nations,
and tongues, that dwell in all the earth, peace be multiplied
unto you.
Nabuchodonosor, etc. . . These last three verses are a kind of preface
to the following chapter, which is written in the style of an epistle
from the king.
34)	Daniel 4:13. Let his heart be changed from man’s, and let a
beast’s heart be given him: and let seven times pass over him.
Let his heart be changed, etc. . . It does not appear by scripture
that Nabuchodonosor was changed from human shape; much less
that he was changed into an ox; but only that he lost his reason,
and became mad; and in this condition remained abroad in the
company of beasts, eating grass like an ox, till his hair grew in
such manner as to resemble the feathers of eagles, and his nails
to be like birds’ claws.
35)	Daniel 4:34. Therefore I, Nabuchodonosor, do now praise, and
magnify, and glorify the King of heaven: because all his works
are true, and his ways judgments, and them that walk in pride
he is able to abase.
I,Nabuchodonosor,donow,etc. . .Fromthisplacesomecommentators
infer that this king became a true convert, and dying not long
after, was probably saved.

Baltasar. . . He is believed to be the same as Nabonydus, the last
of the Chaldean kings, grandson to Nabuchodonosor. He is called
his son, ver. 2, 11, etc., according to the style of the scriptures,
because he was a descendant from him.

The den of lions. . . Daniel was twice cast into the den of lions; one
under Darius the Mede, because he had transgressed the king’s

of Christ to Peter, spoken in the vulgar language of the Jews which
our Lord made use of, were the same as if he had said in English,

that, by the plain course of the words, Peter is here declared to
be the rock, upon which the church was to be built: Christ himself
being both the principal foundation and founder of the same.
Where also note, that Christ, by building his house, that is, his
church, upon a rock, has thereby secured it against all storms
and floods, like the wise builder, St. Matt. 7. 24, 25. The gates of
hell, etc. . . That is, the powers of darkness, and whatever Satan
can do, either by himself, or his agents. For as the church is here
likened to a house, or fortress, built on a rock; so the adverse
powers are likened to a contrary house or fortress, the gates of
which, that is, the whole strength, and all the efforts it can make,
will never be able to prevail over the city or church of Christ. By
this promise we are fully assured, that neither idolatry, heresy,
nor any pernicious error whatsoever shall at any time prevail
over the church of Christ.

the virtuous life they are bound by the divine commandments

offices in society, that procure us the esteem and good will of
our neighbours. Whatsoever of good fame. . . That is, that by our
conduct and behaviour we should edify our neighbours, and give
them good example by our actions. If there be any virtue, if any
praise of discipline. . . that those in error, by seeing the morality
and good discipline of the true religion, may be converted. And
finally, the apostle commands, not only the Philippians, but all
Christians, to think on these things. . . that is, to make it their
study and concern that the peace of God might be with them.

other, and would be equally useful for their concern; and more
particularly as they were equally disturbed by intruders and false
teachers, against which the apostle was anxious to warn them,
lest they should be infected by their pernicious doctrine.

  • 7. vii INTRODUCTION Exegesis is a critical explanation or interpretation of a text, particulary a religious text, traditionally the term was used primarily for the work with the Bible; however, in modern usage Biblical Exegesis is used for greater specificity to distinguish it from any other broader critical text explanation (28). Biblical hermeneutics is the study of the principles of interpretation concerning the books of the Bible (10). Analogy is a cognitive process of transferring information or meaning, from a particular subject to another, or a linguistic expression to such a process; it is an inference or an argument from one particular to another, as opposed to deduction or induction, where at least one of the premises or the conclusion is general (4). In statistics, an association is any relationship between two measured quantities that renders them statistically dependent, and the term “association” is closely related to the term “correlation”, both terms imply that two or more variables vary according to some pattern; however,itisimportanttonotethatneitherassociationnorcorrelation establish causality (6). An anagram is a type of word play, the results of rearranging the letters of a word or phrase to produce a new word or phrase, using the original letters exactly only once, the goal of a serious or skilled anagrammamist is to produce anagrams that in some way reflect or comment on the subject (3). As wisely described, by the publishers, of the 1899 Douay-Rheims Version of the Bible, Saint Jerome (Eusebius Hieronymus, 342-420) was a man truly raised up by God, to translate Our Lord’s Holy Scriptures; it is so, because his translation to the Latin Vulgate from the original languages is simply a Gift from God to humanity, for the perpetual consecration of his creation (22). In my theory, one of the first things that I discovered when studying and interpreting The Sacred Scriptures was that we must utilize the entire Bible, including the Annotations and the Historical Index. The origin of my Bible Interpretation and Theory = Specific Alternate Meaning is Supplemental, began when, while reading the
  • 8. viii Bible I noticed a tendency of repetition of some verses of the Sacred Scriptures; thus, the initial discovery that the number of verses under a specific topic was Seven. The concept of my manuscript in the design anddevelopmentofthemethodologyofmyTheoryincludes,Repetition (Verses Words), Pronunciation (English / Spanish), Syllable Division, Biblical Names, Anagrams, Analogies, and Associations, with emphasis on relevancy (2016) and specificity (Please refer to references for definitions).
  • 10. 2 TIME, TIMES, AND A HALF TIME(7) 1) Daniel 7:25 And he shall speak words against the High One, and he shall think to himself able to change times and laws, and they shall be delivered into his hand until a time, and times, and half a time. 2) Daniel 12:7 And I heard the man that was clothed in linen, that stood upon the waters of the river: when he had lifted up his right hand and his left to heaven, and had sworn, by him that liveth forever, that it should be into a time and times, and half a time. And when the scattering of the band of the holy people shall be accomplished, all things shall be finished. 3) St. Mathews 13:8 And others fell upon the ground and they brought fruit, some a hundredfold, some sixtyfold and some thirtyfold. 4) St. Matthew 13:23 But he that receiveth the seed upon good ground, is he that heareth the word, and understandeth, and beareth fruit, and yieldeth one hundredfold, and another sixty, and another thirty. 5) St. Mark 4:8 And some fell upon good ground; brought forth fruit that grew up, and increased and yielded, one thirty, another sixty, and another a hundred. 6) St. Mark 4:20 And these are they who are sown upon the good ground, who hear the word and receive it, and, yield fruit, the one thirty, another sixty, and another a hundred. 7) Apocalypse 12:14 And there given to the woman two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the desert into her place, where she nourished for a time and times, and half a time, for the face of the serpent. The first key to interpret, THE SPECIFIC ALTERNATE MEANING THEORY SEVEN VERSES.
  • 11. 3 THE KEY OF SEVEN(7) 1) Genesis 2:2 And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made: and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had done. 2) Ezequiel 45:20 And so shalt thou do in the seventh day of the month, for every one that be ignorant, and have been deceived by error, and thou shalt make expiation for the house. 3) Daniel 9:25 Know thou therefore, and take notice: that from the going forth of the word, to build up Jerusalem again, unto Christ the prince, there shall be seven weeks, and sixty-two weeks: and the street shall be built again, and the walls in straightness of times. 4) Apocalypse 1:4 John of the seven churches which are in Asia. Grace be unto you and peace from him that is, and that was, and that is to come, and from the seven spirits which are before his throne. 5) Apocalypse 1:13 And in the midst of the seven golden candlesticks, one like the Son of Man, clothed with a garmet down to the feet, and girt about paps with a golden girdle. 6) Apocalypse 1:18 And I am alive, and was dead, and behold I am living for ever, and have the keys of death. 7) Apocalypse 15:1 And I saw another sign in heaven, great and wonderful: seven angels having the seven last plagues. For in them is filled the wrath of God. IN ORDER TO STUDY AND INTERPRET THE SPECIFIC ALTERNATE MEANING THEORY WE MUST USE THE ENTIRE VULGATE BIBLE.
  • 12. 4 ELIAS AND SEVEN(7) 1) 3 Kings 17:21 And he stretched, and measured upon the child three times, and cried to the Lord, and said: O Lord my God, let the soul of this child, I beseech thee, return into his body. 2) 3 kings 18:43 And he said to his servant: Go up, and look toward the sea. And he went up, and looked, and said: There is nothing. And again he said to him: Return seven times. 3) 3 Kings 18:44 And at the seventh time, behold, a little cloud arose out of the sea like a man’s foot. And he said: Go up and say to Achab: Prepare thy chariot and o down, lest the rain prevent thee. 4) 3 Kings 18:45 And while he turned himself this way and that way, behold the heavens grew dark, with clouds, and wind, and there fell a great rain. And Achab getting up went up to Jezarel. 5) 3 Kings 19:18 And I will leave me seven thousand men in Israel, whose knees have not been bowed before Baal, and every mouth that hath not worshipped him kissing his hand. 6) 4 Kings 2:11. And as they went on, walking and talking together, behold, a fiery chariot and fiery horses parted them both asunder: and Elias went up by a whirlwind into heaven. 7) Ecclesiasticus 48:9. Who wast taken up in a whirlwind of fire, in a chariot of fiery horses. “THE PRECURSOR” JOHN THE BAPTIST Because as Our Lord Jesus Christ indicated: 1) MALACHIAS 4:5 Behold, I will send you Elias the prophet, before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord. 2) ST. MATHEW 11:14 And if you will receive it, he is Elias that is to come. 3) ST. MARK 9:11 Who answering, said to then: Elias, when he shall come first, shall restore all things; and as it is written of the Son of man that he must suffer many things and be despised. 4) ST.MARK 9:12 But I say to you that Elias also is come (and they have done to him whatsoever they would), as it is written of him. 5) ST. LUKE 1:17 And he shall go before him in the spirit and power of Elias: that he may turn the hearts of the fathers unto the children and the incredulous to the wisdom of the just, to prepare unto the Lord a perfect people.
  • 13. 5 ELISEUS AND SEVEN(7) 1) 4 Kings 3:9 So the King of Israel, and the King of Juda, and the King of Edom (Three) went, and they fetched a compass of seven days journey, and there was no water for the army, and for the beasts, that followed them. 2) 4 Kings 4:35 Then he returned and walked in the house once to and fro: and he went up, and lay upon him: and the child gaped seven times, and open his eyes. 3) 4 Kings 5:10 And Eliseus sent a messenger to him, saying: Go, and wash seven times in the Jordan, and thy shall recover health, and thou shalt be clean. 4) 4 Kings 5:14 Then he went down, and washed in the Jordan seven times: according to the word of the man of God, and his flesh was restored, like the flesh of the little child, and he was made clean. 5) 4 Kings 8:1 And Eliseus spoke to the woman, whose son he has restored to life, saying: arise and go thou and the household, and sojourn wheresoever thou canst find: for the Lord hath called a famine, and it shall come upon the land seven years. 6) 4 Kings8:3 And when the seven years ended, the woman returned out of the land of the Philistines, and she went forth to speak to the king for her house, and for her land. 7) Ezechiel 3:1. And he said to me: Son of man, eat all that thou shalt find: eat this book, and go speak to the children of Israel. JOSEPH OF ARI/MATH/EA = ARITHMETIC ANNOTATION A) EZECHIEL 3:1 Eat this book, and go speak to the children of Israel. . . By this eating of the book was signified the diligent attention and affection with which we are to receive, and embrace the word of God; and to let it, as it were, sink into our interior by devout meditation.
  • 14. 6 THE NET(10) 1) ST. LUKE 5:1. And it came to pass, that when the multitudes pressed upon him to hear the word of God, he stood by the lake of Genesareth, 2) ST. LUKE 5:2. And saw two ships standing by the lake: but the fishermen were gone out of them and were washing their NETS. 3) ST. LUKE 5:3. And going into one of the ships that was Simon’s, he desired him to draw back a little from the land. And sitting, he taught the multitudes out of the ship. 4) ST. LUKE 5:4. Now when he had ceased to speak, he said to Simon: Launch out into the deep and let down your NETS for a draught. 5) ST. LUKE 5:5. And Simon answering said to him: Master, we have laboured all the night and have taken nothing: but at thy word I will let down the NET. 6) ST. LUKE 5:6. And when they had done this, they enclosed a very great multitude of fishes: and their NET broke. 7) ST. LUKE 5:7. And they beckoned to their partners that were in the other ship, that they should come and help them. And they came and filled both the ships, so that they were almost sinking. 8) ST. LUKE 5:8. Which when Simon Peter saw, he fell down at Jesus’ knees, saying: Depart from me, for I am a sinful man, O Lord. 9) ST. LUKE 5:9. For he was wholly astonished, and all that were with him, at the draught of the fishes which they had taken. 10) ST. LUKE 5:10. And so were also James and John, the sons of Zebedee, who were Simon’s partners. And Jesus saith to Simon: Fear not: from henceforth thou shalt catch men.   • 40. 32 The rationale regarding my Douay Rheims Bible Interpretation of the Sacred Scriptures, came to me early in my studies (2009), while pondering the meaning of the identification of “The SEVEN” Verses, and the discovery of the meaning of NET (TEN), as they provided me with an additional source of investigation. However, in my analysis of The Scriptures others numbers came into play (8, 9, 12, 15), thus after further study, analysis and interpretation of the Bible and relevant research, I reached the conclusions regarding my Theory (2016). The verses that I selected and grouped together, mostly contain and share common features, phrases and words, or on some instances they were based on my intuition alone. The Systematic Methodology that I utilized in order to perform my interpretations was based on Repetition (Verses Words), Pronunciation (English / Spanish), Syllable Division, Biblical Names, Anagrams, Analogies, and Associations, with emphasis on Relevance and Specificity. The application of any of these factors at different times, by themselves or in combination with one or others, produced the final results of my Bible Interpretations and Theory = Specific Alternate Meaning is Supplemental. A process that took seven years of study and analysis,andwhichincludedatleastasmuchasfourtimestheresearch utilized in this book; a period in which the results, interpretations and conclusions changed frequently and significantly. A fact that could only be explained by the knowledge acquired by the author, new research, and the non-traditional linguistic method utilized. It must be noted that I firmly believe that we should use the entire bible when attempting to interpret it, including the Annotations and The Historical and Chronological Index.   • 52. 44 PART II: SELECTED BIBLE STUDY VERSES This Bible study method is based on the Douay Rheims Bible, translated into the Latin Vulgate by St. Jerome (342-420) from the original languages. The Old Testament was first published by the English College at Douay A.D. 1609 1610, The New Testament was first published by the English College at Rheims A.D. 1582, and the whole translation was revised (including the annotations) by Bishop Richard Challoner A.D. 1749-1752 (1). It consists of my selection and chronological placement of specific verses and corresponding annotations (2), with the purpose of providing the reader with inspiration and assistance in the understanding of my Bible Interpretations. The reasoning for this specific selection is the usefullness of the wisdom of the authors of the Vulgate, with regards to all things considered Divine, and the knowledge that they provided this author when interpreting the Bible. GENESIS 1) Genesis 2:2. And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made: and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had done. He rested, etc. . . That is, he ceased to make or create any new kinds of things. Though, as our Lord tells us, John 5.17, “He still worketh”, viz., by conserving and governing all things, and creating souls. 2) Genesis 7:2. The words of Christ to Peter, spoken in the vulgar language of the Jews which our Lord made use of, were the same as if he had said in English, Thou art a Rock, and upon this rock I will build my church. So that, by the plain course of the words, Peter is here declared to be the rock, upon which the church was to be built: Christ himself being both the principal foundation and founder of the same. Where also note, that Christ, by building his house, that is, his church, upon a rock, has thereby secured it against all storms and floods, like the wise builder, St. Matt. 7. 24, 25. The gates of hell, etc. . . That is, the powers of darkness, and whatever Satan can do, either by himself, or his agents. For as the church is here likened to a house, or fortress, built on a rock; so the adverse powers are likened to a contrary house or fortress, the gates of which, that is, the whole strength, and all the efforts it can make, will never be able to prevail over the city or church of Christ. By this promise we are fully assured, that neither idolatry, heresy, nor any pernicious error whatsoever shall at any time prevail over the church of Christ. 50) Matthew 19:12. For there are eunuchs, who were born so from theirmotherswomb:andthereareeunuchs,whoweremadesoby men: and there are eunuchs, who have made themselves eunuchs for the kingdom of heaven. He that can take, let him take it. There are eunuchs, who have made themselves eunuchs, for the kingdom of heaven. . . This text is not to be taken in the literal sense; but means, that there are such, who have taken a firm and commendable resolution of leading a single and chaste life, in order to serve God in a more perfect state than those who marry: as St. Paul clearly shews. 1 Cor. 7. 37, 38.

In that same hour, he rejoiced in the Holy Ghost and said: I confess to thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because thou hast hidden these things from the wise and prudent and hast revealed them to little ones. Yea, Father, for so it hath seemed good in thy sight. He rejoiced in the Holy Ghost. . . That is, according to his humanity he rejoiced in the Holy Ghost, and gave thanks to his eternal Father.

Here the Holy Ghost is promised to the apostles and their successors, particularly, in order to teach them all truth, and to preserve them from error. 62) John 14:28. The faith, to which the apostle here attributes man’s justification, is not a presumptuous assurance of our being justified; but a firm and lively belief of all that God has revealed or promised. Heb. 11. A faith working through charity in Jesus Christ. Gal. 5.6. In short, a faith which takes in hope, love, repentance, and the use of the sacraments. And the works which he here excludes, are only the works of the law: that is, such as are done by the law of nature, or that of Moses, antecedent to the faith of Christ: but by no means, such as follow faith, and proceed from it. 70) Romans 4:2. For if Abraham were justified by works, he hath whereof to glory, but not before God. By works. . . Done by his own strength, without the grace of God, and faith in him. Not before God. . . Whatever glory or applause such works might procure from men, they would be of no value in the sight of God. 71) Romans 8:16. Now the day of the Lord, and his fiery trial, (in the particular judgment immediately after death,) shall make manifest of what sort every man’s work has been: of which, during this life, it is hard to make a judgment. For then the fire of God’s judgment shall try every man’s work. For the rest, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever modest, whatsoever just, whatsoever holy, whatsoever lovely, whatsoever of good fame, if there be any virtue, if any praise of discipline: think on these things. For the rest, brethren, whatsoever things are true, etc. . . Here the apostle enumerates general precepts of morality, which they ought to practise. Whatsoever things are true. . . in words, in promises, in lawful oaths, etc., he commands rectitude of mind, and sincerity of heart. Whatsoever modest. . . by these words he prescribes gravity in manners, modesty in dress, and decency in conversation. Whatsoever just. . . That is, in dealing with others, in buying or selling, in trade or business, to be fair and honest. Whatsoever holy. . . by these words may be understood, that those who are in a religious state professed, or in holy orders, should lead a life of sanctity and chastity, according to the vows they make; but these words being also applied to those in the world, indicate the virtuous life they are bound by the divine commandments to follow. Whatsoever lovely. . . that is, to practise those good offices in society, that procure us the esteem and good will of our neighbours. Whatsoever of good fame. . . That is, that by our conduct and behaviour we should edify our neighbours, and give them good example by our actions. If there be any virtue, if any praise of discipline. . . that those in error, by seeing the morality and good discipline of the true religion, may be converted. And finally, the apostle commands, not only the Philippians, but all Christians, to think on these things. . . that is, to make it their study and concern that the peace of God might be with them. COLOSSIANS 75) Colossians 4:16. And when this epistle shall have been read with you, cause that it be read also in the church of the Laodiceans: and that you read that which is of the Laodiceans.
  • 74. 66 And that you read that which is of the Laodiceans. . . What this epistle was is uncertain, and annotators have given different opinions concerning it. Some expound these words of an epistle which St. Paul wrote to the Laodiceans, and is since lost, for that now extant is no more than a collection of sentences out of the other epistles of St. Paul; therefore it cannot be considered even as a part of that epistle. Others explain that the text means a letter sent to St. Paul by the Laodiceans, which he sends to the Colossians to be read by them. However, this opinion does not seem well founded. Hence it is more probable that St. Paul wrote an epistle from Rome to the Laodiceans, about the same time that he wrote to the Colossians, as he had them both equally at heart, and that he ordered that epistle to be read by the Colossians for their instructions; and being neighbouring cities, they might communicate to each other what they had received from him; as one epistle might contain some matters not related in the other, and would be equally useful for their concern; and more particularly as they were equally disturbed by intruders and false teachers, against which the apostle was anxious to warn them, lest they should be infected by their pernicious doctrine. The true children of God’s church, remaining in unity, under the guidance of their lawful pastors, partake of the grace of the Holy Ghost, promised to the
