This document discusses strategies for using social media to improve the conference experience. It suggests engaging participants through social media platforms before, during and after the conference. Setting up an editorial team and calendar can help plan and coordinate social media content. Personas can help conference planners understand different types of participants.

Join the #1 Glocal community of Thinkers, Creatives and Disruptive Innovators.
An opportunity to connect and collaborate with people in similar roles, pursuing similar goals and facing similar challenges: people you wish you had more of in your company.
You’ll bring your challenges, work on solutions, and leave with clarity on what and how to implement once back in the office.
With the support of all those new friends, you met during the summit.
Kate Fitzpatrick, Senior Strategist, e3 and Joshua Leigh, Amnesty International both presented at Experiencing Charity: The Future of Giving, an e3 event looking at the future of the third sector. Our clubhouse has now become a roaring place
full of digital startups, expert communities and

Over the past year, we employed, trained and

young graduates. We also offered traineeships to
help tomorrow’s working people grow and learn
in a nice start-up environment. We boosted digital

train the new data science professionals, Java

We made Brussels shine by hosting international

mentioning DigitYser as «the Clubhouse of

It was also a year of transformation of the
venue where we upgraded a cold and empty

installed video recording facilities, managed
to stream the content of the meetups online

World IA Day 2019 Hong Kong IntroductionSoyeon Lee
What is information architecture? In early ages, many people believed IA's deliverables are sitemaps, navigation structure, content taxonomy, task flows etc. However, discussions around IA have been evolved in and out of IA communities and now they involve everything surrounded by information and contexts. Ethics, humanogy, and anthropology are also emerging topics in this field. Let me introduce what kinds of ideas were shared at World IA Days for the past 8 years.

An important task of FI-CONTENT is to prepare an experimentation to validate the enablers identified in the project as the key technologies for the realisation of future media internet. That work contemplates several testbeds that will prepare such experimentation. As a starting point, a set of several testbed infrastructure has been identified, that will in a further project phase be deployed to the needed scale in view of life tests. FI-CONTENT will also activate user communities for the large scale experiments in phase 2 and has access to already established regional user focus groups. The user community bootstrapping activities will be fed with all the discussions and trials which have been performed so far by the focus groups in phase 1, in order to build on top of their results.

Kubernetes & AI - Beauty and the Beast !?! @KCD Istanbul 2024Tobias Schneck
As AI technology is pushing into IT I was wondering myself, as an “infrastructure container kubernetes guy”, how get this fancy AI technology get managed from an infrastructure operational view? Is it possible to apply our lovely cloud native principals as well? What benefit’s both technologies could bring to each other?
Let me take this questions and provide you a short journey through existing deployment models and use cases for AI software. On practical examples, we discuss what cloud/on-premise strategy we may need for applying it to our own infrastructure to get it to work from an enterprise perspective. I want to give an overview about infrastructure requirements and technologies, what could be beneficial or limiting your AI use cases in an enterprise environment. An interactive Demo will give you some insides, what approaches I got already working for real.

Connector Corner: Automate dynamic content and events by pushing a buttonDianaGray10
Here is something new! In our next Connector Corner webinar, we will demonstrate how you can use a single workflow to:
Create a campaign using Mailchimp with merge tags/fields
Send an interactive Slack channel message (using buttons)
Have the message received by managers and peers along with a test email for review
But there’s more:
In a second workflow supporting the same use case, you’ll see:
Your campaign sent to target colleagues for approval
If the “Approve” button is clicked, a Jira/Zendesk ticket is created for the marketing design team
But—if the “Reject” button is pushed, colleagues will be alerted via Slack message
Join us to learn more about this new, human-in-the-loop capability, brought to you by Integration Service connectors.

Search and Society: Reimagining Information Access for Radical FuturesBhaskar Mitra
The field of Information retrieval (IR) is currently undergoing a transformative shift, at least partly due to the emerging applications of generative AI to information access. In this talk, we will deliberate on the sociotechnical implications of generative AI for information access. We will argue that there is both a critical necessity and an exciting opportunity for the IR community to re-center our research agendas on societal needs while dismantling the artificial separation between the work on fairness, accountability, transparency, and ethics in IR and the rest of IR research. Instead of adopting a reactionary strategy of trying to mitigate potential social harms from emerging technologies, the community should aim to proactively set the research agenda for the kinds of systems we should build inspired by diverse explicitly stated sociotechnical imaginaries. The sociotechnical imaginaries that underpin the design and development of information access technologies needs to be explicitly articulated, and we need to develop theories of change in context of these diverse perspectives. Our guiding future imaginaries must be informed by other academic fields, such as democratic theory and critical theory, and should be co-developed with social science scholars, legal scholars, civil rights and social justice activists, and artists, among others.

Plan editorial meetings from the very beginning. When you begin
planning the conference program, you will also want plan the
conference communication, so that you are prepared for everything
A larger content workshop can also be a great idea. Gather the
editorial team and invite a few more people to join. The goal of both the
workshop and the editorial meetings would be to generate great content
for the conference platforms – content that can engage your
participants.

68. Create an editorial
calender
The calender is your daily tool both before, duing and after the
conference. It will tell you what content to post where - and when.
• Use a spreadsheet (eg. in Excel og Google Docs)
• Prepare the content. The more specific you are on the content of
your future updates, the easier your everything will be.
• Use the calendar actively both before, during and after the
conference. You can still be spontaneous and post new ideas. But
when other tasks comes along, you will need the calendar to keep
you on track.
Note: An editorial team and calender is equally important for
a long-term precence on social media platforms.

status update?
• Engaging. A status update should express personality and
enthusiasm. “Now we’re finally ready... We are really looking
forward to...”. This will encourage participation.
• Visual. Pictures and videos are very engaging on social
media. And it is fine to use your smartphone camera - it
doesn’t have to be too polished.
• Specific. Rather highlight a specific thing than give out
general information.
• Relevant. Share specific tools, links and professional
content that the receiver will find relevant and useable.

87. Don’t oversell a message.
Engage in the dialogue.
• Be less polished that normally. It’s not a press release.
• Mention and highlight other people - also in official posts.
• Tag each other in pictures and videos
• Participate and write comments on each other’s posts

your content. Invite your target group to actively take
part in the communication by asking “What do you 5 Answer
think?” or “Share your results/experiences/thoughts Take note of criticism - both positive and negative. It is
with us” important that you respond to both, since
communication generally will take place in a public
forum, where the user expects a response, and where
the rest of the group can keep track of how you deal
with criticism
