What is third eye Or Divine vision?
• The Third eye (also known as the inner eye)
is a mystical and esoteric concept referring to a
speculative invisible eye which provides
perception beyond ordinary sight. (Richard
Cavendish, ed. (1994). Man, Myth and Magic, P. 2606)
Just sight?
• No. Sights, Experiences, Sounds, Fragrance
(smell) etc. can also be received/perceived.
Third eye in Scriptures!
Na tu maam shakyase drashtum anenaiva
swachakshushaa;
Divyam dadaami te chakshuh pashya me
yogamaishwaram.
(Bagavath Geetha Chapter 11; Viswa Roopa Darsana Yogam, verse 8)
But thou art not able to behold Me with these, thine own
eyes; I give thee the divine eye; behold My lordly Yoga.
In Islam
“And He (God) revealed his word when He (Mohammed) was
on the upper most horizon”
(Chapter 53 Surah- Al- Najm (The star) Ayatt (Verse) 8)
In Christianity
“Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find;
knock, and it shall be opened unto you”
“For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh
findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.”
(Book– Gospel of Mathew, Chapter 7 Verse 8)
In Taoism
“It is better to center on the true essence within”.
“Acts naturally without desire, then everything will be
accomplished in its natural order”.
(Tao te Qing Chapter 3 Verse 8)
In Yoga
“Thadapi Bahiranga Nirbeejasya”
But even they are external to the seedless (Samadhi).
(Patanjala Yogasutram, Vibhoodipadam Verse 3.8)
“Mooordhajyotishi Siddha Darsanam”
On the light emanating from the top of the head sight
of the Siddhas.
(Patanjala Yogasutram, Vibhoodipadam Verse 3.32)
Verse Number 8
Geeta, Quran, Bible, Tao te Qing, Yogasutras
Talking about Divine vision. All of them are in different
Chapters but Verse Number 8

What is the importance of 8?
• Directions, paths 8
• Lakshmi’s, Siddhis, Ganapathis 8 and importance of
Ashtami
• 18- Siddhas, Puranas , steps and so on..
• 108 Puranas, Upanishads, Repeat Chants
• 8 Yogas in Yogasutra ( Yama, Niyama, Pranayama, Asana,
Prathyahara, Dhyanam, Dharana, Samadhi)
• In Bible : 8 represents a new beginning, meaning a new

Role of Pineal gland
Biological functions of Pineal Gland
• Of the endocrine organs, the function of the
pineal gland was the last discovered. Located
deep in the center of the brain, the pineal gland
was once known as the “third eye.” The pineal
gland produces melatonin, which helps maintain
circadian rhythm and regulate reproductive
hormones.
• Anatomically: Most vascular gland after Liver.
• Situated in fourth Ventricle and immersed in CSF
Pineal Gland and Third Eye
• Third eye is often termed as Pineal eye.
• Pineal gland is known as Pinaka Granthi in
Sanskrit Lord Siva (the Hindu Diety with
Third eye is Known as Pinaki)
Question : is there a proof to show the
relationship of third eye with pineal gland?

Dhāranā
Dhāranā is fixing the mind on the object of
contemplation.
Dhāranā is the preliminary stage of meditation.
When we make our mind steadfastly cling to
the object of contemplation we are ready to go
to the next higher step, meditation (Dhyāna)
Remember the example of Arjuna seeing the
eye of the bird
• Dhyāna is the intense mental concentration.
• It is not easy to meditate.
• Mind creates hurdles to meditate.
• “One’s mind can be one’s best friend and also
one’s worst enemy” (Geeta 6/5)
• 9 obstacles mentioned by Patanjali (all are
products of mind)

Third Eye Activation
Sreenivasa Ramunjan
“Whenever he began to look into any mathematical
problem something began to happen in the middle space
between his two eyebrows. Both his eyeballs turned
upwards, centering on that middle space. In Yoga, that
space is described as the third eye spot. It is called the
third eye because if that eye becomes activated it is
possible to see events and scenes of some different world
in their entirety. It is like looking out of your house
through a small hole in the door, and suddenly, when the
door opens, you see the whole sky. There is a space
between the two eyebrows where there is a small aperture
which sometimes opens – as in the case of Ramanujan.
His eyes rose to his third eye while solving a problem.
Neither Hardy could understand this phenomenon nor
would other Western mathematicians ever understand it in
the future.”
(Osho:1971, Hidden Mysteries, Chapter 3, The occult
science of Third Eye, p.43)
How to read mind? My observations
with the Autistic Children
• --Para– Pasyanthi– Madhyama– Vaikhari--
• Energy matter circuit. Short cut!
• Light, pedal, tyre, Dynamo light (reverse?)
• Direct conversion. Is it possible?
• Photosynthesis
• *
Rationality Paradigm
• Scientificity
• Rationality
• Logic
• All are barriers to understand the
phenomenon
• And I believe Spirituality is one of the ways to
understand this phenomenon.
• Thank you!
