Jesus declares himself to be the "Bread of Life" who came down from heaven. He states that whoever believes in him will never hunger or thirst. The Jews grumble about this, not believing Jesus could have come down from heaven. Jesus explains that no one can come to him unless drawn by God, and that he will raise them up on the last day. He promises eternal life to all who believe in and eat his flesh, which is given for the life of the world.
