thanks for your submission. Prior to introducing the SWOT analysis, your audience needs some background information about the company. Your work lacks a description of the company's history. Your assessment of the financial performance and condition of the organization is brief and does not include any of the concepts covered in class or include any scholarly sources. You provided a good analysis evaluation of the external environment and the organization's opportunities and threats. However, you are missing details about the internal aspect of the company and its strengths and weaknesses. A thorough evaluation of the results of the SWOT analysis requires an investigation of all four component. Good work, you demonstrate your ability and skills to measure performance and recognize trends. However, you may want to analyze some performance indicators even more closely as there are some performance trends you may want to consider and look at more closely. You used the required number of scholarly sources to support ideas. All sources on the reference page are used and cited correctly within the body of the assignment.

Microsoft SWOT Analysis
Introduction
A SWOT analysis is a breakdown of a firm’s strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats in
a nutshell. It is an essential tool to deciphering the state of a firm at any one point and is usually
looked at in line with the firm’s ability to satisfy consumers, the market reach it had gained since
it was established, and the level of competition in the market. A firm has to reach this vital
process in order to develop or explain the basis it is doing business. Such information is
especially helpful to staff, top management, shareholders, and government and is thus requested
from time to time in different capacities and formats. For Microsoft, which is a company that
sells computer and software-based products, the SWOT analysis has been particularly helpful in
helping the company attain early market domination and has since faced fierce competition from
companies such as Apple, Facebook, and other Asian based tech companies like Samsung and
Huawei.

After watching a movie about a young woman who quit a successful.docxgalerussel59292
After watching a movie about a young woman who quit a successful corporate career to start her own baby food company, Julia Day decided that she wanted to do the same. In the movie, the baby food company was very successful. Julia knew, however, that it is much easier to make a movie about
a successful woman starting her own company than to actually do it. The product had to be of the highest quality, and Julia had to get the best people involved to launch the new company. Julia resigned from her job and launched her new company—Starting Right. Julia decided to target the upper end of the baby food market by producing baby food that contained no preservatives but had a great taste. Although the price would be slightly higher than for existing baby food, Julia believed that parents would be
willing to pay more for a high-quality baby food. Instead of putting baby food in jars, which would require preservatives to stabilize the food, Julia decided to try a new approach. The baby food would be frozen. This would allow for natural ingredients, no preservatives, and outstanding nutrition. Getting good people to work for the new company was also important. Julia decided to find people with experience in finance, marketing, and production to get involved with Starting Right. With her enthusiasm and charisma, Julia was able to find such a group. Their first step was to develop prototypes of the new frozen baby food and to perform a small pilot test of the new product. The pilot test received rave reviews. The final key to getting the young company off to a good start was to raise funds. Three options were considered: corporate bonds, preferred stock, and common stock. Julia decided that each investment should be in blocks of $30,000. Furthermore, each investor should have an annual income of at least
$40,000 and a net worth of $100,000 to be eligible to invest in Starting Right. Corporate bonds would return 13% per year for the next five years. Julia furthermore guaranteed that investors in the corporate bonds would get at least $20,000 back at the end of five years. Investors in preferred stock should see their initial investment increase by a factor of 4 with a good market or see the investment worth only half of the initial investment with an unfavorable market. The common stock had the greatest potential. The initial investment was expected to increase by a factor of 8 with a good market, but investors would lose everything if the market was unfavorable. During the next five years, it was expected that inflation would increase by a factor of 4.5% each year.
#2) Ray Cahn, who is currently a commodities broker, is also considering an investment, although he believes that there is only an 11% chance of success. What do you recommend?
#3) Lila Battle has decided to invest in Starting Right. While she believes that Julia has a good chance of being successful, Lila is a risk avoider and very conservative. What is your advice to Lila?

Apple Inc's External Business Environment
Introduction
Companies do not operate in a vacuum and as such they have to pay attention to their external environmental in order to remain competitive. Managers have little influence on the external environment and businesses have to adapt as the external factors keep on changing. External business environment factors include the political landscape, technology, legal and regulatory frameworks, societal factors, the economy in general, and competition. These factors are not static and the more they shift, the more volatile the environment becomes. Apple Inc. operates on a global scale, which means that the external business environment is quite complex. This paper will explore some of these factors which affect the business strategy that the company uses.
Political Factors
Political factors are perhaps what the company cannot exert any influence on because of the complexities involved. Apple Inc is an American company which has customers all over the world including those countries whose relations with the US are strained (Grant, 2003). The company has to hope that tensions between the various countries it has interests do not become rocky to a point where business becomes impossible to run. The company has factories in China and other Asian countries where there is an ample supply of labor. Potential conflict between the US and China could force the company to shift the locations of the labor-intensive factories.
Economic conditions affect the demand for Apple's products because of people's purchasing power. Increase in inflation and recessions have a negative effect on demand because people tend to check their spending habits (Grant, 2003). The company's products can be classified as luxury products, which mean that people can decide to reduce spending on them to be able to purchase their basic needs. Further, economic conditions affect the cost of raw materials for production and labor as well. Therefore, the company has to keep track of developments in the economy because they have to adjust their prices and product offering to match the changes (Husso, 2011).
Social factors are quite important to Apple because their competitive advantage currently lies in the perception that their products are of high quality. Their customers feel classy because of the premium pricing which the company practices. The company has to keep track of the people’s attitude towards their products so that they can produce what people want in case their preferences change. Another dimension of the external business environment is technology. Apple has to invest in research and development to produce innovations that will keep customers interested in what the company is producing. Further, the co ...

Apple in an American corporation which designs manufactures and sells personal computers, media devices and mobile communication. The organization has various internal factors which informs the decisions of the management in developing the company. The company has a strong brand image. It has one the strongest and the most valuable brands in the globe. This helps it to introduce new products in the market by virtue of its strong brand. However the company has limited distribution networks. This is attributed to its policy of exclusivity. For instance the organization selects sellers of its products. This limits their market reach despite their having a strong brand (Blenko et al., 2016).
The organization has an opportunity to develop new products. Their current products have been well received in the market. However, innovating further, the organization can achieve more success in the market just as it has happened with the Apple watch. Development of new product can significantly support business growth not only in the local market but also in the international market (Castro, 2016). One internal threat that affects the organization is employee turnover. Some employees feel that they are not given an opportunity to develop their careers through training. Some other employees could leave the organizations after being motivated by a higher pay. Employees will likely consider leaving your organization if they are offered a better pay no matter how much they love their work.
External Portion
The company enjoys stable political environment in developed countries. Developing countries have developed free trade policies which helps the apple company to distribute more products to different geographies in the world. Few political issues affect their business therefore giving the company an opportunity to grow. The company has a weakness of overdependence of high end market. This process only attracts customers from the high income bracket and prevents low income customers from purchasing their products (Chen & Ann, 2016). The low income customers represent the largest global market while high income earners represent the minority and this affects the organization in a big way. This weakens the distribution of their products in the market.
Technological factors such as growing app market, technological integration and cloud computing trends present the company many opportunities. Cloud computing is gaining significant popularity among many organization and individuals. The company can offer cloud friendly apps and devices to exploit this opportunity. Technological integration is becoming a popular trend and Apple can use this opportunity to provide products which can easily connect to each other. The company is facing the threat of tough competition in the industry. Their co.

Week 2 Discussion Forum
Discuss the elements of strategic management and explain why it is crucial to an organization's survival. Excluding the examples from the textbook, give an example of a company that failed as a result of poor strategic management. Explain the difference between a strategy and a business model. Please discuss this in 200-250 words.
Strategic management is a strategy that provides direction for a company. Strategic management is a plan that includes situation analysis, strategy formulation, strategy implementation, and strategy evaluation. Situation analysis is how managers learn and understand what the company is capable of, along with the customers and the business environment. Strategy formulation is the process that is used to achieve the goals of the company. Strategy implementation puts the plan in motion, and strategy evaluation tests the effectiveness of an idea.
For a business to survive, the management team must be willing to grow the company to obtain new opportunities; without growth, a business will not be able to maintain longevity with a large amount of competition. The extension allows a business the ability to obtain assets, funds, and investments that will enable a push toward performance and profits.
Sears is a company that I believe that failed because of poor strategic management. Sears has been a household name for many years until new competition such as Walmart and Amazon, to name a few came on the scene. I don't believe Sears had a plan, strategy, or a goal of how-to compete because of their household name in the past. A business should always be assessing its strategy for success; if not, the industry could be left behind. Sears, in my hometown, never had any significant updates to the store or the merchandise to keep up with the competition. It seems to me that their strategy was just lower prices on already low-quality merchandise, excluding exercise equipment, appliances, and outdoor equipment.
All businesses, large and small, should have a strategy and a business model. A strategy is a plan of action that explains what the company will and will not do, how they plan to compete with the competition, and how they will execute the plan. The business model is how the company plans to make a profit; also, the business model identifies what the products and services are and who their target market is and any expenses. These two plans will aid in keeping a business moving in the right direction.

Compare Carroll's strategies for creating sound in
Jabberwocky
with those used by Swenson in
A Nosty
Fright.
Pay attention to connotative and denotative meanings of the words and how the poet plays with sound.
Edilzon Ramirez
Response to Prompt:
In both poems there is a common element. And that is a wordplay to make nonsense poetry. The effect of this, is that we must think more in depth to figure out the real meaning behind the works of literature. In Jabberwocky, the writer begins by setting up the mood giving us the background of the events that are about to occur. The use of exclamation marks throughout the poem afterwards, are what in my opinion, give it the sound. For example, “O frabjous day! Callooh! Callay!” suggests sort of a proud/relived cry. Which is furthered backed up by the whimsical words that have a positive connation to them due to the slaying of the jabberwocky, who terrorized the people.
While in “A Nosty Fright” another poem with nonsense words or portmanteau the mood is sad, and it only becomes gloomier. Like Miss Brill, the poet describes things together, in the first stanza “roldengod and the soneyhuckle” and jumps to a lonely chipmunk, suggesting that it has lost its companion. There is hope for it when it meets the grasshopper. Ultimately, it comes to an end “Here we part,” said the hassgropper. “Pere we hart,” mipchunk, too”. All hope is lost for the chipmunk and is waiting for the winter to come. This symbolizes death because during the months of October, November, and December many mammals including the chipmunks hibernate and its almost like it wanted to go to sleep permanently remarking things like “Will it ever be morning, Nofember virst”.
Some say, that the chipmunk is a representation of the author and her sexuality. She like the chipmunk, was alone and the typhoon that was mentioned earlier, was her losing her mind. The words and the sounds they make, further makes this evident because it is gibberish written by someone who is broken.

#6) Julia D.

This week's discussion prompt:
Explain how Faith in "Young Goodman Brown," Georgiana in "The Birthmark," and Elizabeth in "The Black Minister's Veil" are use to reveal some truth about the central male characters in each story. Describe the similarities that you see among these women characters.
Peer's Post:
-Emily Seide
In each of the three short stories, the female characters play a large role in the character development of the three male protagonists (Goodman, Aylmer, and Hooper). Throughout each story, the women leave a lasting impact on their significant other’s mentality of the world and perception of others. In “Young Goodman Brown”, Brown is faced with troubling sights that make him alter his point of view on his town and the townspeople. Brown was introduced to the true form of some nasty people, including his wife, Faith. When he returns home the next morning from a place of sinister evil, his encounter with Faith and his townspeople has made him a hardcore skeptic of anyone and everyone around him. Goodman Brown never trusted a soul after that night because he was forced to believe that evil resides in everyone. In “The Birthmark”, Aylmer goes insane trying to remove his wife, Georgiana’s, birthmark. Even after hearing how beautiful and well liked she is, Georgiana agrees to get her birthmark removed. Rather than seeing this as a perfect part of her, Aylmer sees the birthmark as a flaw that gives her an imperfect complexion. Later in the story, as the birthmark fades and she wakes up, she states that he should’ve admired what he had in the first place, then dies. This made Aylmer realize that he took time for granted, and now he lives a life without Georgiana due to his impatience with her already beautiful complexion. And finally, in “The Minister’s Black Veil”, Reverend Hooper consistently wears a black veil that covers the majority of his face. Several people were afraid and intimidated by it, except for his fiancée, Elizabeth. After further questioning, she begins to fear the veil due to what it symbolizes- the sin in all human beings. Hooper’s plea for Elizabeth to stay reveals the extent of which he is willing to sacrifice, and the decision for him to continue to wear the veil reveals great sorrow; “Do not leave me in this miserable obscurity forever!” (Hawthorne, 36). In each of the short stories, each female character, always a love interest, is first skeptical of the main character’s choice of actions, then later comply. In each short story, a life lesson is learned for each male character.

Technology changes education
Postman argues that television technology substantively changes aspects of culture such as news, politics, religion, and education in ways that suit the technology, not the human culture that uses the technology. It is a point others have made as well, though it is still contested by many other philosophers and social critics. One excellent example of technological change is on-line course delivery. While there are some who say that the new medium does not provide an education, others (such as your instructor) believe they can accomplish a better education in some subject areas. What have you noticed? What differences are there in on-line education that are due to the way it is technologically mediated? What differences do they make in the education you are receiving? Do you think this is a better or worse education? Why might your instructor think it can be better (and not just because he manages the class while in his pajamas)?

HAIR
Hair deeply affects people, can transfigure or repulse them. Symbolic of life, hair bolts from our head. Like the earth, it can be harvested, but it will rise again. We can change its color and texture when the mood strikes us, but in time it will return to its original form, just as Nature will in time turn our precisely laid-out cities into a weed-way. Giving one's lover a lock of hair to wear in a small locket [3] around his neck used to be a moving and tender gesture, but also a dangerous one, since to spell-casters, magicians, voodoo-ers, and necromancers of all sorts, a tuft of someone's hair could be used to cast a spell against them. In a variation on this theme, a medieval knight wore a lock of his lady's pubic hair into battle. Since one of the arch-tenets of courtly love was secrecy, choosing this tiny memento instead of a lock of hair from her head may have been more of a practical choice than a philosophical one, but it still symbolized her life-force, which he was carrying with him. Ancient male leaders wore long flowing tresses as a sign of virility (in fact,
"kaiser" and "tsar" both mean "long-haired"
). In the biblical story of Samson, the hero's loss of hair brings on his weakness and downfall, just as it did for the hero Gilgamesh before him. In Europe in more recent times, women who collaborated with the enemy in World War II were humiliated by having their hair cut short. Among some orthodox Jews, a young woman must cut off her hair when she marries, lest her husband find her too attractive and wish to have sex with her out of desire rather than for procreation. Rastafarians regard their dreadlocks as "high-tension cables to heaven." These days, to shock the bourgeoisie and establish their own identity, as every generation must, many young men and women wear their hair as freeform sculpture, with lacquered spikes, close-cropped patterns that resemble a formal garden maze, and colors borrowed from an aviary or spray-painted alley. The first time a student walked into my classroom wearing a "blue jay," it did startle me. Royal-blue slabs of hair were brushed and sprayed straight up along the sides of his head, a long jelly roll of white hair fell forward over his eyebrows, and the back was shiny black, brushed straight up and plastered close to the head. I didn't dislike it, it just seemed like a lot to fuss with each day. I'm sure my grandmother felt that way about my mother's "beehive," and I know my mother feels that way about the curly weather system which is my own mane of long thick hair. One's hairstyle can be the badge of a group, as we've always known -- look at the military's crew cut, or the hairstyles worn by some nuns and monks. In the sixties, wearing long hair, especially if you were a man, often fetched a vitriolic outburst from parents, which is why the musical Hair summed up a generation so beautifully. The police, who seemed so clean-cut and cropped then, were succee.

Write a research report based on a hypothetical research study. Con.docxarnoldmeredith47041
Write a research report based on a hypothetical research study. Conducting research and writing a report is common practice for many students and practitioners in any of the behavioral sciences fields.
A research report, which is based on scientific method, is typically composed of the different sections listed below:
Introduction:
The introduction states a specific hypothesis and how that hypothesis was derived by connecting it to previous research.
Methods:
The methods section describes the details of how the hypothesis was tested and clarifies why the study was conducted in that particular way.
Results:
The results section is where the raw uninterpreted data is presented.
Discussion:
The discussion section is where an argument is presented on whether or not the data supports the hypothesis, the possible implications and limitations of the study, as well as possible future directions for this type of research.
Together, these sections should tell the reader what was done, how it was done, and what was learned through the research. You will create a research report based on a
hypothetical
problem, sample, results, and literature review. Organize your data by creating meaningful sections within your report. Make sure that you:
Apply key concepts of inferential hypothesis tests.
Interpret the research findings of the study.
Examine the assumptions and limitations of inferential tests.
Develop a practical application of the research principles covered in this course.
Focus of the Research Report
To begin, create a hypothetical research study (you do not have to carry out the study; you will just have to describe it) that is based on the three pieces of information listed below. Once you have your hypothetical study created, write a three- to four-page research report (excluding title and reference pages) that outlines the study. You are encouraged to be creative with your research study, but be sure to follow the format outlined below and adhere to APA formatting as outlined in the Ashford Writing Center.
Your hypothetical research study should be based on the following information:
Recent research has indicated that eating chocolate can improve memory. Jones and Wilson (2011) found that eating chocolate two hours before taking math tests improved scores significantly. 2024.06.01 Introducing a competency framework for languag learning materials ...Sandy Millin
http://sandymillin.wordpress.com/iateflwebinar2024
Published classroom materials form the basis of syllabuses, drive teacher professional development, and have a potentially huge influence on learners, teachers and education systems. All teachers also create their own materials, whether a few sentences on a blackboard, a highly-structured fully-realised online course, or anything in between. Despite this, the knowledge and skills needed to create effective language learning materials are rarely part of teacher training, and are mostly learnt by trial and error.
Knowledge and skills frameworks, generally called competency frameworks, for ELT teachers, trainers and managers have existed for a few years now. However, until I created one for my MA dissertation, there wasn’t one drawing together what we need to know and do to be able to effectively produce language learning materials.
This webinar will introduce you to my framework, highlighting the key competencies I identified from my research. It will also show how anybody involved in language teaching (any language, not just English!), teacher training, managing schools or developing language learning materials can benefit from using the framework.

thanks for your submission. Prior to introducing the SWOT anal.docx
1. thanks for your submission. Prior to introducing the SWOT
analysis, your audience needs some background information
about the company. Your work lacks a description of the
company's history. Your assessment of the financial
performance and condition of the organization is brief and does
not include any of the concepts covered in class or include any
scholarly sources. You provided a good analysis evaluation of
the external environment and the organization's opportunities
and threats. However, you are missing details about the internal
aspect of the company and its strengths and weaknesses. A
thorough evaluation of the results of the SWOT analysis
requires an investigation of all four component. Good work,
you demonstrate your ability and skills to measure performance
and recognize trends. However, you may want to analyze some
performance indicators even more closely as there are some
performance trends you may want to consider and look at more
closely. You used the required number of scholarly sources to
support ideas. All sources on the reference page are used and
cited correctly within the body of the assignment.

Microsoft SWOT Analysis
Introduction
A SWOT analysis is a breakdown of a firm’s strengths,
weaknesses, opportunities, and threats in
a nutshell. It is an essential tool to deciphering the state of a
firm at any one point and is usually
looked at in line with the firm’s ability to satisfy consumers, the
market reach it had gained since
it was established, and the level of competition in the market. A
firm has to reach this vital
process in order to develop or explain the basis it is doing
business. Such information is
especially helpful to staff, top management, shareholders, and
government and is thus requested
3. from time to time in different capacities and formats. For
Microsoft, which is a company that
sells computer and software-based products, the SWOT analysis
has been particularly helpful in
helping the company attain early market domination and has
since faced fierce competition from
companies such as Apple, Facebook, and other Asian based tech
companies like Samsung and
Huawei.
Discussion
Specific Areas That Need Change
Some of the fundamental questions that can be asked with
regards to a Microsoft SWOT
analysis include What resources are readily available to the
firm? How far is its market reach?
What elements give it a sustainable competitive advantage over
the rest of the firms doing the

same business in the market? Can the brand last another 100
years in the market? (Arimoto,
4. Barbosa & Barroca, 2015). What are its weakest elements of
production? The answers to these
questions with regards to Microsoft are clustered into two major
groups, with the strengths and
weaknesses representing the major internal issues of the
analysis and the opportunities and
threats representing the external.
The weaknesses include lack of enough software upgrades on
products, lack of enough
software security features in some cases, and a general laxity
aftermarket dominance. These
weaknesses have hugely cost the company, which had enjoyed
market control for a long time
(Sun & Schmidt, 2018). The losses have been in the form of
stiff competition from tech and
software giant companies like Apple, which have capitalized on
unique and highly efficient
products. Despite their steep price, they have substantial market
followings in Europe, North
America, and some parts of Asia.
As regards the strengths, the company has had global market
dominance. Most levels of tech
production greatly catapulted its status, making it the fifth most
valuable company in the world.
5. Its headquarters are also located in one of the most convenient
spots for doing business in
America, Washington D.C. (Schmitz, Mahapatra & Nerur,
2018). The city is the home of the
world’s most important trading routes and hosts the White
House. The company also as a
strength has also accumulated a net worth of $61 billion and its
owner, Bill Gates has been the
face of the richest men in the world in the last two decades for
the most part. It indicates that the
company is making highly demanded products, which is a huge
plus for its brand outlook. The
table below summarizes all.
MICROSOFT SWOT ANALYSIS

Despite the decline in success for the company, the global
smartphone and search engine
business is highly lucrative due to the immense growth in
technology in recent times. I would,
therefore, recommend it as an avenue for growth for the
company any day (Arimoto et al., 2015).
It was also a necessary step of the company to take since it was
6. established as a brand that is
involved with computers and software, a necessity of sorts in
modern times. Its track record also
speaks volumes about market dominance in the early stages of
the computer and internet
Strengths
-Early market dominance.
-Headquarters at Washington D.C
-Huge liquidity
-Bankable reputation
Opportunities
-The AI global market dominance
-The attainment of the $1 trillion value
-Diverse tech production including cloud
hosting and gaming.
Weaknesses
-Low market dominance currently
-Failure to upgrade software
Threats
7. -Stiff Competition
-Lobbying against the use of AI software
-Hacking
-Creation of viruses for software

revolution, and this is a massive advantage since it means that
they do not need to reintroduce
themselves to their consumers.
The importance of a marketing strategy in the international
job market of any kind is crucial for
the success of the business. Different types of technology, on
the other hand, have looked into
elements of compatibility and efficiency of service, easing the
burden of doing business through
marketing and increasing profits (Sun & Schmidt, 2018). This is
the concept behind the creation
of agile software. Formula 1 is one such company in Canada
that merges the best of new-age
software technology and medicine, capitalizing on the fact that
almost every doctor must have a
8. smartphone device at all times and may need to give a medical
opinion of an emergency. It is an
app that is commonly called ‘Instagram for Doctors.’ This fact
has not only helped improve the
quality of service offered by the health care system but also
increases company profit. Microsoft,
on the other hand, failed to understand what the current market
needed in terms of service
delivery despite being an early market leader.
New Strategies and Interventions
The company has since refocused its energy into more diverse
technology and research. In
2014 it unveiled a new CEO named Satya Nadella, who did
away with the standard strategy of
the software market (Schmitz et al., 2018). The company has
since decided to venture into the
artificial intelligence market, seeking ways to integrate
artificial intelligence software in all its
products. It is also trying to be one of the first companies to hit
the $1 trillion value as a result of
this investment. The company has also invested in the gaming
sector, seeking to tap into the
gaming culture that is driven by technology. Microsoft was one
of the first companies to venture

into the smartphone and search engine business, coming up with
a search engine product named
Bing. Still, unfortunately, due to minimal improvement in the
engine from 2004 to 2008, it fell
out with the market. It was quickly replaced by another software
engine product named Firefox
as a result. Chrome is currently the most favored in the market;
however, in recent times.
Its brand placement is also more focused on the long term
goals as opposed to the short term.
Brands matter to consumers because they help consumers make
quick decisions on which
products to consume. This helps the consumer save time and
money looking for and trying out
new brands in the market. The idea of branding breeds
familiarity between the product and the
consumer (Arimoto et al., 2015).They also help with arranging
financial statements and offering
legal methods for peculiar features of the product. This helps
protect the creative rights of the
10. brand and provides a legitimate title for the producer. At the
end of the day, a brand is how a
product resides in the consumer’s mind. It involves making the
consumer aware of what the
product is and what benefits it can offer to them with regards to
meeting their specific needs.
This is referred to as giving a label and meaning to the brand,
which is the opportunity that
Microsoft has in the new fields of tech production it is
venturing in.
The commodity is a product that is hard to differentiate from
others in the market place.
Throughout history, a number of brands have been grown and
have resonated well with
consumers worldwide (Sun & Schmidt, 2018). The key to their
success, in most cases, was able
to convince the consumer that these brands offered more
benefits to the consumer. These brands,
some of which included pineapples under the brand name Dole,
salt under the brand name
Morton, chickens under the brand name Perdue. These products
are seemingly ordinary, but
MICROSOFT SWOT ANALYSIS

under their respective brand names, they have managed to
convince the consumer that they
somehow offer more benefits to the consumer through branding.
This is one of the greatest
strengths that Microsoft as a company has. It managed to
convince PC buyers that their
computers could only run on Microsoft
Trending Performance
The company has grown more than 200 percent since the
introduction of the new CEO. It
indicates that diversity in tech production is healthy and brings
more profit. The concept of
SWOT analysis, therefore, helps a firm in many ways, including
understanding how to overcome
everyday challenges (Schmitz et al., 2018). As regards the
opportunities available for the
company, the gaming and artificial intelligence industry are
only just beginning and has a very
bright future ahead. The internet, for example, was a small
invention by a British scientist that
has taken over the world by storm due to the many opportunities
it bears.
12. The threats, which should be closely monitored, include a
limit by activist groups to the use of
artificial intelligence on products. This is due to the fear that
one day a self-sustaining and
replicating robot may be created that is so ‘smart’ that it will
eventually take over the world
(Arimoto et al., 2015). This impending fear with artificial
intelligence makes lobbyists and
activists groups stand against the development of agile software
and artificial intelligence.
Another threat that had been seen as a result of Microsoft
products is the act of hacking or the
creation of viruses to the software. Hacking refers to infiltrating
another person’s account with
uncouth motives by bypassing the security features that have
been installed on computer
software.
MICROSOFT SWOT ANALYSIS

The answer lies in effective leadership and management and
the creation of virtual data and
software security features. I also realized that effective
communication is a vital managerial tool
13. in teamwork since it hugely improves the efficiency of service
delivery with regards to the
SWOT analysis. It also helps increase productivity in the firm. I
would recommend some of the
methods that would be used to ensure effective communication
and coordination should include
open-door policies in the management level of the firm (Sun &
Schmidt, 2018). This might
consist of using suggestion boxes for members, team building
events, and reward motivators for
high performing staff.
Conclusion
In conclusion, the best solution for this company is to continue
to have useful team leadership
that oversees all elements of group cohesion and interaction.
This would ensure positive aspects
of cohesiveness are maintained, and conflicts disappear. Some
of the methods that the leadership
can do this are by introducing reward systems for jobs well
done and punishing those who
engage in any misconduct that may portray the team in a
negative light. Good leadership, such as
what Microsoft has since the new CEO joined the company, is
14. also vital for the success of the
long term goals. As a leader at work, for example, I would go
out of my way to ensure that I lead
in being an exemplary employee. Junior employees would
follow suit in a bid to imitate or
impress me, so that would be a big boost for the company in
terms of how people see it.

Microsoft History
Microsoft is a technology-based company that began in its
operations in the 1990s. It
started by a little known entrepreneur back then known as Bill
Gates. The young man had
16. embarked on a mission to tell people in America to be part of
the computer revolution that was
happening then. He managed to convince people to buy easy to
use and pocket-friendly PCs or
personal computers. He also managed to convince them that it
would only run on Microsoft built
software and that it would need to be upgraded periodically. It
is through Microsoft and his
technological innovation that he became one of the richest men
in the world. This was primarily
facilitated by the technological improvements of the last two
decades, starting with the internet
boom in the 1990s. The internet was greatly improved by
pioneering companies like AOL, which
has been primarily facilitated by Microsoft’s success since
almost 10million copies of their latest
software Windows 3.0. This may not mean much in layman’s
terms, but it meant an equal
number in PC sales for the company.
In relation to actual economics, however, Microsoft has been
able to make a significant
contribution to solving the unemployment problem. It has been
able to employ 144,000 people in
Microsoft working in full-time positions across the world. Sixty
17. percent of these employees are
in the United States. The technology company had a revenue
standing at around 126 billion U.S
dollars in the year 2019. The company’s employees have been
increasing since when the
company was founded. In reference to other areas of impact,
Microsoft has devoted itself to
philanthropic work through the Bill and Melinda Gates
Foundation.
