Campus Crest, a Charlotte-based student housing developer led by CEO Ted Rollins, reported a profit of $2.8 million in the second quarter compared to a loss in the same period last year. Revenue increased to $38.9 million from $35.4 million. Campus Crest also announced plans to expand into Canada by converting a hotel in Montreal into student housing. The company has six new projects under construction for the upcoming academic year.

Campus Crest Communities has entered into a joint venture with Beaumont Partners to convert the 33-story Delta Centre-Ville Hotel in downtown Montreal into an upscale student housing tower. The property is located near three universities and is within walking distance of attractions in downtown Montreal. Once completed, the property will feature modern amenities for undergraduate and graduate students. The joint venture paid $60 million for the property and plans to obtain financing later in the year to fund the conversion, with redevelopment slated to be completed for fall 2014 leasing.

Campus Crest and Solar City Team Up
Ted Rollins and Campus Crest Communities, today announced a partnership with SolarCity, a national leader in clean energy products and services, to install more than 9,000 solar panels on its student housing communities located in Greeley, Colorado; Flagstaff, Arizona; and Las Cruces, New Mexico. When complete, the initiative will:
--Provide more than 2.3 million kilowatt-hours of renewable power annually
--Offset electricity consumption by approximately 50 percent
--Eliminate over 80 million pounds of annual carbon dioxide emissions, the equivalent of taking approximately 7,000 cars off the road for a year.

Cox modeling displayed that 5YS of LCP significantly depended on: N0-N12, T3-4, blood cell circuit, cell ratio factors (ratio between cancer cells-CC and blood cells subpopulations), LC cell dynamics, recalcification time, heparin tolerance, prothrombin index, protein, AT, procedure type (P=0.000-0.031). Neural networks, genetic algorithm selection and bootstrap simulation revealed relationships between 5YS and N0-12 (rank=1), thrombocytes/CC (rank=2), segmented neutrophils/CC (3), eosinophils/CC (4), erythrocytes/CC (5), healthy cells/CC (6), lymphocytes/CC (7), stick neutrophils/CC (8), leucocytes/CC (9), monocytes/CC (10). Correct prediction of 5YS was 100% by neural networks computing (error=0.000; area under ROC curve=1.0).
