Ice cream
People think that the Italians invented ice
cream, but it was the Chinese who invented it in
the year 1250. They put the ice cream in ice and
salt. They used natural ice which they took
from lakes and ponds and put it in ice houses
under the ground. The Italians were the first
people who made ice cream in Europe, but this
was more difficult for them, because there
wasn’t that much ice.
Later, in 1850, they took ice from colder places
to the big cities and began to make ice cream
