the key high level points that are required to partner with our startup. Due to competition and need of
high skilled workers, there is a need to have first level assessment to ensure our startup hires right talent
that can be placed in a competitive landscape.
Basic minimum criteria (must meet all criteria at time of screening for both company and its internal
team):
1. A team that meets / exceeds my academics (three degrees with master’s thesis in AI, all with A+
grade),experience (20 years) and certifications (100 plus with trainings)
2. A good English score (TOEFL / IELTS / GRE)
3. At least one green card holder in the team ( I have had 2 resident visas)
4. Prefer professional with an US academic background, prefer a PhD
5. Company with staff ratio of 25% PhD, 50% M.Tech / MS, rest 25% hold BS / B.E / B.Tech degrees in
computer engineering or closely related stream
6. Should be holding an engineering license (P.Eng / Chartered Engineer titles) from International
boards like Engineers Australia, and Engineers Canada
7. Should be eligible for fellow membership from deemed institutes like Engineers Australia, BCS or
ACS
8. Apostille from Ministry of External affairs, from respective countries / embassies on originals
9. Should have traveled and worked, in an international environment
10. Should be research oriented, published papers, thesis with a sense in entrepreneurship and
responsible for generating revenues
11. Technical focus should be in disruptive areas like AI / ML, IoT, data science and cloud
12. Company should be friendly with startup culture, sponsor trainings / accelerator programs, R&D lab
setup, spinoffs / M&A and visa sponsorship.
We are not carried away by distracters like gaps, no salary slips, more volunteer work than real work, nor do
we see your fat salary offered by MNC or convinced by your origins, being referred, or being next door friend.
What we need is the right basic parameters that allow you to work globally without much hindrance. We
balance the lost opportunities with the future opportunities in arriving with a go or no go decision. Not many
meet us requirement, it is alright, as there are as many clients as there are competitors’ and no shortage of
skilled / semi and no-skilled workers
