temptation
Memory Verse:
1 Cor 10:13
No temptation has overtaken
you except such as is common
to man; but God is faithful, who
will not allow you to be tempted
beyond what you are able, but
with the temptation will also
make the way of escape, that
you may be able to bear it.
(KJV)

Reasons for Temptation
How do Temptations arise?
Introduction
Temptation is one of the most familiar experience of a true
child of God and no one can totally escape from it. Even
our Lord Jesus Christ was tempted (Matt 4:1, Heb 4:15).
This is why the Lord taught us to include it in our daily
prayer.
Bible
Reading
James 1:12-17
12 Blessed is the man who endures
temptation; for when he has been
approved, he will receive the crown of life
which the Lord has promised to those
who love Him.
13 Let no one say when he is tempted, "I am
tempted by God"; for God cannot be tempted by
evil, nor does He Himself tempt anyone.
14 But each one is tempted when he is drawn away
by his own desires and enticed.
Bible
Reading
James 1:12-17
15 Then, when desire has conceived,
it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it
is full-grown, brings forth death.
16 Do not be deceived, my beloved
brethren.
17 Every good gift and every perfect gift
is from above, and comes down from the
Father of lights, with whom there is no
variation or shadow of turning.

to yield to temptation is a sin (1Pet 5:8). God
