Healthcare in the Arctic faces unique challenges due to remote locations, sparse populations, lack of infrastructure, and cultural differences. To overcome these challenges, centralized facilities have been established and telemedicine has been implemented using multipurpose machines in every community and allowing remote consultations. However, travel is still often required for specialized care, and mental health issues are rising as traditional lifestyles change. Equalizing funding and continuing innovative solutions can help reduce health inequalities faced in Arctic regions.
