This study examines high levels of arsenic (As) and fluoride (F-) in groundwater in Mailsi, Punjab, Pakistan that pose health risks. Groundwater samples from two areas, Jallah Jeem and Dur Pur, contained As levels from 5.9-507 ppb and F- levels from 5.5-29.6 ppm, exceeding World Health Organization limits of 10 ppb for As and 1.5 ppm for F-. The sources of As and F- were determined to be both natural geologic processes and anthropogenic activities like coal combustion and agriculture. Residents exhibited arsenicosis and fluorosis from exposure. Health risks were assessed using estimated daily intake and target hazard quotients.

This article analyzes arsenic levels in groundwater samples from two villages, Mailsi and Sargana, in Punjab, Pakistan. Arsenic concentrations were found to be high, ranging from 11 to 828 μg/L, exceeding World Health Organization limits. Health risk assessments found the Sargana site posed higher risks due to higher average daily doses, hazard quotients, and cancer risks from arsenic exposure. The study area is at high risk of arsenic pollution due to contaminated groundwater and a lack of previous arsenic testing in wells. Appropriate measures are needed to test wells and address arsenic contamination.
The document summarizes a hazard identification and risk assessment report for Habib Woodworks. It identifies several hazards at the woodworking facility including sharp saw blades, rotating wheels, smoking, electrical issues, noise, vibration, wood dust, and ergonomic risks. It notes a lack of safety controls and protective equipment. Recommendations include installing machine guards, improving electrical safety, providing protective equipment, training workers, and implementing lockout/tagout procedures.
This document provides a summary of different business models used in the IT industry. It begins with introducing business models and describing the key components of a business model.
