  1. Listen up, I have a news flash. The internet is NOT a fad. It’s not a trend. And it’s not going away. If you have not been a Believer, I invite you to accept the Internet into your heart today. Do you receive it? Can I get an Amen? Seriously, it’s never too late to get started. You may think you’re too far behind or you’ve missed the boat, but you haven’t. You can start today. I’m talking about not just Social Media, but your whole Internet presence…including your website and email. Tell SEDC 2004 story.
  2. Long before the Internet there was Consumer Reports Magazine, the Better Housekeeping Seal of Approval, and the Better Business Bureau. Consumers have ALWAYS trusted other consumers. Now they just have quicker easier ways to do so. Social Proof is the just the scientific fact that you are more likely to buy/eat/like/believe/support those things and visit those places that others do. It’s why Facebook & LinkedIn have that LIKE button, and Twitter has a REWEET button, and Instagram has the HEART double-tap, and Pinterest has the PIN button…and so on. It’s to show others what you think & what others think about you. Different audiences need different messages. So, how do streamline that for your social channels?

  4. Dave is going to talk about Storytelling in a bit but this slide is a reminder to make sure you’re not sending mixed messages in your online presence. Your online presence needs to match your offline presence. Find ways to make your digital marketing holistic and you can set your EDC up to tell a more complete realistic story.
