SMART Boards, Kestrels, LabQuests, ProScopes, and iPods are different technologies that teachers can use to engage students and enhance lessons. Students can interact with SMART Boards during lessons, use Kestrels to measure weather conditions and collect data outdoors, collect data on temperature, light and motion using LabQuest probes, view insect parts and other small objects closely with ProScopes microscopes, and engage with learning apps on iPods to enhance previously taught lessons.

You can measure dozens of weather conditions outdoors in an instant.
Students can use it to learn about different weather conditions, such
as temperature, humidity, and wind speed.
Students can use it as a way to learn how to collect data and record it.

2. LabQuests
You can collect data using probes for
temperature, light, speed and motion.
Students can use it to learn how much force
something uses to lift an item off the floor.
Students can use it to record how much
light is exerted from a
source, as well as the
temperature of certain
items.
ProScopes
These are handheld 50-200x microscopes.
Students can use these to see things up
close.
Great for science units, like insects, so the
students can see the insect’s parts close up.

3. iPods
Apps can make learning fun!
Students can engage with the learning.
Students can use these to enhance the lessons
previously taught.
