This document provides instructions for a team webquest involving 13 tasks to be completed in 60 minutes. The tasks include translating a phrase to Estonian, deciphering net lingo, writing a team poem in Estonian, interviewing other teams, using a QR code, taking photos with captions, searching websites, identifying an image's author, finding a MOOC, and listing web tools. The team is to complete the tasks in a Microsoft Word file and convert it to a PDF to upload to Google Drive.

1. TEAMWORK WEBQUEST
1. Download this file into your computer as Microsoft Word (.docx) and complete the tasks on the
list as a team. You have 60 minutes to do them all!
2. Translate the underlined phrase into Estonian:
­ Hey, Jack! What are you doing tonight?
­ I’m macaulay culking​ it.
3. Try to decipher the following quote from net lingo into standard English:

4. Write a 4­line rhyming poem (​abab or ​aabb​) about your team. Use the Estonian language. Every
member of the team should write one line.
5. Ask two members from another team why they decided to study educational technology. Use an
iPad to record your video clips.
6. Go to the coffee vending machine on the first floor, there is a QR code attached to it. Find out
what you need to do next.

7. Take ​three​ photos with your smartphone or tablet. Choose some of the following sentences as
photo captions:
● Any fool can use a computer. Many do.
● Don’t drink and update your Facebook status!
● Video games: teaching English since 1980s.
● An Apple a day takes your credit card away.
● When life gives you questions, Google has answers.
● Music is my drug and YouTube is my dealer.
Be creative! One of the photos should have all the members of your team, one should have some
of your team mates + one outsider, and one photo shouldn’t include any people at all. Upload the
best photo to our Facebook group. Be ready to share the other photos later as well.

2. 8. Go to ​http://www.teachthought.com/​ and find out how many times the word ’education’ has
been used on the home page?
9. Go to YouTube and search for videos about ​photosynthesis​. How many videos carry a Creative
Commons licence?
10. Make use of Google Search and find out the author and name of the following picture.

11. Find a MOOC that someone in your team would like to join one day. Explain your choice.
12. Make a list of 10 web tools and programs that everyone in your team has used before this course.
13. Finally, convert your .docx file into a .pdf file and upload it again to Google Drive (the folder
called ’Digiajastu’).
