6. Directions :
• Have participants stand in a circle, shoulder-to-shoulder.
• Each person then joins hands with the people on either side.
• Make a circle so that there is no loose ends. With everyone’s hands tightly held.
• The goal is to untangle the group in opposite direction. If hand-holds are broken during the exercise,
your goal is not achieved .
• Participants are not allowed to do forward flips, or twist off the wrists of their fellow participants!
Debriefing:
• Was your group faced with any challenges? If so, how did it work through them?
• What skills were involved when working to solve the Human Knots?
• Are these skills transferable to real-world situations?
• If so, how might you use them in the real world?
