Artificial intelligence has been used in games for entertainment, education, and to model decision making under well-defined rules. Some early examples include computerized games like Nim in 1951 and checkers programs in the 1950s. Space Invaders in 1978 popularized AI in games by increasing difficulty levels based on player input. More recent games aim to make AI appear more human-like through realistic behaviors and interactive dialog. Overall, AI has progressed greatly in games and continues to be used to generate intelligent behaviors in characters.
This was a pitch I put together during the SXSW Screenburn semi-finals. Its a location-based, class-based, mobile alternate reality game, or LBCBMARG for short.
The document outlines various teambuilding activities that can be used at meetings to improve communication, including games like the M&M Game where participants share personal details based on the color of M&Ms they take, the Egg Drop challenge where teams must safely transport a raw egg using only tape and paper, and Talk a Mile a Minute where one person describes images for their partner without saying specific words. The intended outcomes are for attendees to experience new engaging activities they can use with their own teams and to make meetings more fun and improve work quality and communication.
The document describes teambuilding activities for an assembly including:
1) Warm-up icebreakers like "Have You Ever" and "My Coat of Arms" to get to know each other.
2) Three main activities: "Interference" tests communication skills, "Team Skis" challenges pairs to balance and work together, and "Frenzy" is a coordination game where teams compete to collect tennis balls.
3) It provides the objectives, mechanics, instructions and rules for each activity.
This document outlines an icebreaker activity called "Whodunit" where students write interesting facts about themselves on index cards without their name. These cards are then distributed randomly and students try to guess who each fact belongs to. The activity allows students to learn about their classmates in a fun way while practicing skills like critical thinking. It can be adapted for different learning styles and cultures. The teacher gains insight into students' writing, speaking, and interaction skills to help plan future instruction.
This document outlines the rules and instructions for a teambuilding game called "Conquest of Paradise". The game involves three teams competing to conquer and occupy different parts of a fictional country. Each team must develop matches to compete in for points, come up with a team name and flag, and present their results at the end. The day-long event includes sections for match preparation and execution, as well as support activities and an evaluation at the end to determine the winning team.

The Marble Game, A Teambuilding Exercise, PMCamp Berlin 2014Christoph Moser
The Marble Game. A Team Building Exercise. Slides from the PMCamp Berlin 2014.
How would a bunch of skilled and experienced project managers who lead teams to success perform as team themselves.
I don't know who this game can be attributed to. There are several pages explaining the game (with names such as "pipeline", "customer connection", "marble pass" and others) in this way or with variations but none of them names the original author.
The document provides an overview of a community organizing training workshop. It defines community organizing and its primary components, such as inclusion, ownership, relationship building, and leadership development. It also outlines the typical stages of community organizing and techniques used by organizers, including one-on-ones and power mapping. The workshop teaches these concepts and has participants practice them by developing action plans to address real-life issues.
1. The document outlines steps for community organizing around an issue, beginning with choosing the right issue to focus on and avoiding common mistakes like taking on too many issues.
2. It describes mapping the issue by researching its history, stakeholders, and related policies, and identifying opinion leaders, stakeholders, and "gatekeepers" within social networks connected to the issue.
3. The process involves understanding what motivates potential allies ("currencies") like their values, interests and relationships, in order to propose an agenda that benefits all parties and expand support networks through media and helping others.
This document outlines methods of community organization, including community action, promotion, coordination, and phases of community organization. It describes the phases as study, analysis, assessment, discussion, organization of action, evaluation, modification, and continuation. Community action involves achieving goals through participation of community members in planning and executing plans. Promotion builds cooperation and responsibility among community members. Coordination avoids duplication by organizing community activities. The phases involve understanding issues, prioritizing problems, discussing solutions, implementing plans, assessing outcomes, and continuing or modifying the process.
Team building activities are important for positive workplace relationships but traditional activities can bore employees. This document recommends 5 alternative team building activities that engage and motivate employees: 1) Escape rooms which require solving puzzles to escape a locked room, 2) Team trivia to challenge minds, 3) Team happy hours to build interpersonal bonds, 4) Volunteering to foster camaraderie through philanthropic work, 5) Geocaching which uses GPS to locate hidden containers outside and encourages problem solving. Consistent team building can increase employee productivity by 43% and morale.

Community organization and development are related processes that aim to empower communities and solve problems through collective action. Community organization involves organizing a community to address common issues and develop leadership. It recognizes democratic values and aims to create participation. Community development is a structured process that gives communities more control over conditions affecting their lives in order to build confidence and tackle problems locally. Both community organization and development work to empower communities to improve social well-being through community-led solutions.

This document provides descriptions and instructions for 40 icebreaker activities that are suitable for small groups. The icebreakers are designed to help group members get to know each other, encourage participation and discussion, and build rapport. Some examples of icebreakers included are facts or fiction, where participants share true and false facts about themselves, interview, where participants interview each other in pairs, and would you rather, where participants decide between two options by moving to different sides of the room. The document encourages leaders to choose icebreakers appropriately for their group age and context.
This document describes several training games to engage participants at a workshop. Game 1, called "Push the Wall", teaches participants to focus on issues they can influence rather than issues outside their control. Game 2, "Don't Alaap Apna Raag", demonstrates the need for standardization and working towards a common goal. Game 3, "Sky is the Limit", shows participants they can achieve more than they initially think by pushing their limits. The document provides details on setting up and playing each game to convey the intended lessons.
The document contains a series of "icebreaker brain teasers" intended to engage readers through visual and linguistic puzzles. The teasers include spotting hidden words, counting letters, and recognizing optical illusions. The final sections provide information about a consulting firm called XONITEK that helps clients optimize business processes and leverage new technologies.
This document discusses visual puzzles and games that aim to exercise thinking. It describes ambigrams, which are words that can be read the same upside down or rotated. The document also covers designing puzzles to teach letter parts or typography concepts. Games are proposed that turn images like photos into interactive puzzles by having players find details. The goals are to design casual games for mental fitness as part of a healthy lifestyle using trends like social media and player-generated content.
This is a one day program for organizing, leading and facilitating effective teams. Participants will take part in a range of discussions, activities and exercises to learn the key elements needed for an effective and efficient team.
The document presents 10 puzzles with clues and solutions about unusual events that require creative explanations. The puzzles include a man dying from a lion attack during a photo, a mail courier visiting foreign embassies and thus foreign soil, and a woman giving birth and dying in a locked car. The solutions provide logical explanations for events that seem impossible or unexplained at first glance.
