4. Health is not merely the absence of disease. It includes mental as well as physical
state of a person. Health can be defined in different forms. We are focused on
health as the complete state of mental, physical and social well-being. Health is
determined by different factors. One of them is related with our habits. Exercising,
eating well, drinking water and avoiding alcohol and smoking can benefit a
person’s health. On the contrary, eating junk food, not getting enough sleep and
having a sedentary lifestyle can damage a person’s health and making him/her
develop many problems such as cardiovascular ones.
People can take care of their health in many ways; one of them is maintaining an
active lifestyle and strong social relationships. Also, the context in which a person
lives is of great importance in their health status. Stress is an aspect that can affect
a person’s health and if chronic can make a person develop depressive patterns.
You may wonder: “how can I improve my health?” As I said before is important to
get enough sleep, eating well and making exercise. The choices you make will
have an impact of your health status; take care of yourself and others. How do you
thing youngsters can have a better health status? And what are the habits they
need to put in practice to do it?
