JOHN WILLIAMS
• John Williams wrote all of the music for the first 3 Jurassic
park.
• He is the best film composer of all time, or at least the most
successful.
• BUT… he didn’t write the score for Jurrassic World (Which is
probably why “it wasn’t very good” (Mrs Brookes).
HOWEVER…
• The composer Michael Giacchino still uses John Williams theme for the original films.
As the piece is associated with the films.

amount of money made in the opening
weekend in film history.

• Jurassic Park 4 was meant to be released in
2008 but was cancelled as the script wasn’t
good enough and novelist died.

creating the film.

• Filming continued for four weeks on Oahu. At the
end of April, filming took place at the Hawaii
Convention Center.

SFX AND TECHNOLOGY
• Jurassic World is the first film in the series without the
involvement of Stan Winston, who died in 2008. Instead the
animatronic dinosaurs were handled by Winston's former
alumni at Legacy Effects, many of whom had worked in the
previous three films.
• Visual effects supervisor Phil Tippett and Industrial Light
and Magic also returned to create CGI dinosaurs.
• The computer generated dinosaurs were created using
performance capture, using human actors to perform the
dinosaurs' movements.
• Developing the raptors had the collaboration Image Engine,
which finished the scenes using the motion capture
information.

known and popular before the actual trailer
was released.
