Flowers and their purposes
Nature is truly one of the best examples of beauty we have in life. The sky, rainbows, the oceans, the trees,
and flowers are all examples of the beauty we see daily. We all love flowers. They are a definition of beauty
and grace to everyone, but do you know what else they can do? Flowers are not just made as a bouquets or
something to plant in a garden. They have so much more purpose than that! Flowers can be used for
medicinal needs and even some of the products you may use every day! Let me give you a few examples of
what flowers can do.
Bachelor’s Button or Cornflower
Bachelor’s Button is one of my favorite flowers, which I grow in my yard presently. This is a centuries old
flower that grows in the wild as well. This flower has a history that gave it the name, Bachelor’s Button. It
was worn by males and females to let others know that they were single and available to date. Due to the
fact that they don’t grow much larger than a bud in size, they are similar in look to a button, hence the name,
Bachelor’s Button. These flowers last long naturally, so it makes them a perfect choice to place in any
arrangements. These flowers are not only found in their beautiful blue, but also in shades of red, white, and
pink. The Bachelor’s Button has many uses one of which is being used as a natural blue dye. They are also
excellent to help treat ailments such as stomach problems and muscle aches. Next time you see this flower
remember it is much more than just a beautiful sight!
Marigold
This flower is really a sight;it has such bright reds, oranges, and yellows. They are truly a sight that catches
your eye. They are often found in arrangements as florists’ love how their color pops and makes
arrangements more colorful. These flowers have a nickname of being the “poor man’s saffron.” This is not
because of flavor, but because they have a color that is left on dishes. They have also been known as
flowers of the Aztecs, which is why they are a large part of the Day of the Dead parade held in Mexico.
These flowers are sturdy and can grow just about anywhere. These flowers have many uses as well, such
as a natural food coloring, and they are edible. They are often made into tea, or placed in salads as well as
a few other dishes. They help act as antiinflammatory
agents as well if made properly. This is yet another
6. flower that has many uses for it and is not just a sight to see.
Feverfew
This flower has a slew of names and is closely related to a chrysanthemum. Some of its names include: wild
chamomile, featherfew, midsummer
daisy, featherfoil, and febrifuge plant. It is a very delicate flower that
looks a lot like a daisy. These flowers are often found to grow in places with very little;however, they can be
grown inside or in a garden. It often gets mistook for a weed due to its appearance. They have also been
known to become an intrusive flower. This is a flower that has many medicinal uses, the most common
being a treatment for migraines that has been used for many, many years. Other uses include: relief for
arthritis pain & inflammation, relief from asthma symptoms, helping hay fever, promotes healthy flow for
women’s period, assisting allergy symptoms, helping to remove the placenta after birth, remove worms in
your intestines, ease nerve pain, and even works as an insect repellent. The leaves of this flower can be
eaten by themselves, but this has been said to taste bitter or can be brewed into a tea. Make sure to take
care of these flowers and they may take care of you, don’t take these ones out to the dump!
Purple Coneflower
This is a flower that commonly gets mistaken as a wildflower. This flower is often found in many
arrangements made by florists, despite this mistake. It has many decorative purposes including drying the
flower and using the brown center to create an accent piece. This flower is a favorite of mine, as it is used to
make a herb that I use almost daily, and you may too. The purple coneflower is used to make Echinacea,
which helps your immune system to boost it and help you from getting sick. This is also a great way to treat
a cold or respiratory infection. This is only a few flowers that can be used for many different ailments and
other purposes. These flowers can all be found at your local florist and as you have seen, they are more
than just a simple flower! With a little water, they grow into a great many things! So, go check out these
flowers today!
7. Life Is Better With Zandoia
So most of us take pictures when we travel or go on vacation. Maybe we’re visiting a loved one far away from
home, so we take pictures with them so that precious moments can be remembered forever. Or you just want to
take a picture of something interesting you saw on the side of the road. Either way you probably want to share
that picture with everyone! Then you’ll want to save it somewhere where you won’t lose it. That’s where
Zandoia comes in to help. Sharing that picture of you and your bestie doesn’t have to be harder than the simple
click of a button!
Making Memories
You’re going to go places in life. After all no one likes to sit in one place all their lives. We all like to get out and
see the world in one way or another. Whether you’re going to Florida in the United States or the country of
Japan, you’re going to make some memories. Memories can fade though… Pictures posted online and saved to
devices never fade though! With Zandoia all your pictures can be posted to Facebook & Twitter with just a click of
a button. Descriptions, tags and links all included! The kids will get older and move away but you never have to
forget those moments at Disney or the Beach this summer vacation. Sometimes we forget to enjoy the small
things in life but with this you can look back at them at the very least with great appreciation.
No More Sorting
When you want to find a picture of a moment you want to relive, all you have to do is bring up the Zandoia app,
Facebook or Twitter and it’ll be right where you left it. Sorted by Date, Time and Folder for the app itself. It’s
much easier than looking through an old Photo Album hoping to find a picture you had printed and may or may
not have put in it. Why worry about a picture when you can no it’s saved and know where you put it? There’s
really no reason to in this day and age.
Creating And Saving Your History
We all have a story and keeping it all together in the correct order and in one piece should not be difficult.
Facebook has a great way of doing this and now you can combine it with Twitter simply by using the Zandoia
App! Important moments in life like the birth of your first child, or visiting grandma last summer should be
something you can easily pull up even on your phone and look at again. The history of you is important to you
and those who love you. In times of trouble or sorrow it helps to be able to look back at the good moments, and
realize that they will come again. New memories are always being created and should always be remembered as
well. Zandoia will make that ten times easier. Unless you are a fortune teller or know one, you will probably
never know when big life events are going to happen to you, but with Zandoia you can certainly be prepared.
Easy To Use!
Zandoia is just as easy to use as Facebook or Twitter if not easier! Your pictures and posts go right to both if you
have them linked together, and linking them is done in a few easy steps. It’s not like the old days when you had
to fumble with your phone to get a picture posted to Myspace. You can quickly snap a picture and have it posted
in seconds! Best of all it’s FREE!!! Some apps like this want you to pay for them just so they can make more
money than just on ads, so you can do the same exact thing. Linking your social networking world together
should not cost your a dime.
Getting The Zandoia App
So how do you get this app for your phone? Well it’s simple, you just go on to the Playstore or Google Play and
get it for your Android or Apple Mobile Device. Want to use it from your PC, laptop or subnotebook? Simple just
go to http://zandoia.com/ any time and you can post right from there! If it got any easier you wouldn’t even have
to type or click a button… Actually those of you with mobile phones that have voice recognition technology don’t
8. have to do that either! So what are you waiting for?! Get the Zandoia App and make an account today!
Sample Article Art Topic: (300 words)
Art is one of the few things in the world that are subjective. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder is the way the
saying goes. Some feel that Michelangelo was one of the greatest artists, others find no interest in his work.
Which is why it is so important to be aware that we aren’t the only judge of another’s work. For me, my favorite
art is cartoonism. I love seeing the steps to draw the images and then watching them come to life as they are
completed. I have a preference for japanese artists, such as Hayao Miyazaki, Masashi Kishimoto, and Yuu
Watase, to name a few. They create manga, which is a comic book in Japan.Masashi Kishimoto is notorious for
his creation of the anime and manga series Naruto. Yuu Watase is known for many works to list a few: Absolute
Boyfriend, Fushigi Yugi, Shishunki Miman Okotowari, and Ayashi no Ceres. The stories vary on subject from
author to author but they are all incredible works. Yuu focuses more toward romantic stories while Kishimoto
focuses more on action. Regardless of what plot these authors create, the stories come to life with the images
they provide. However, one of the names I mentioned is not a manga artist, Hayao Miyazaki is a director and
animator, bringing life to his creations on the big screen. For me manga, cartoonists, and animators are all an
incredible example of what art is. Art is anything you find beauty in, and there is limitless beauty in this work in
my personal opinion.
Sample Article Travel topic Japan: (530 words)
One word-Japan. This country has so much to see, that the possibilities are endless when you visit here. There is
one thing I recommend when going here, go during the Cherry Blossom season, which is in spring. This is a
breathtaking view and can be seen when traveling from Tokyo to Hakone, Mt. Fuji, Nara, and Kyoto. A good start
for this is Tokyo Metropolis, highlights of the city including Sensoji Temple in old town Asakusa, Harajuku
which is a youth fashion area, Edo-Tokyo Museum is a must for history lovers to see incredible replicas of Tokyo
during the Edo Period. Lake Kawaguchi is a place to see breathtaking views of Mount Fuji. If you get a chance,
stop and enjoy the city of Atami, there are a ton of inns in this area, some with authentic old fashioned style that
you can live like they do. Take a soak in a hot springs and enjoy a traditional meals.A nice place to visit for Kyoto
is Todaiji Temple, then head to Kyoto’s Gion Geisha District where you might even run into geishas heading to
their performances. Naoshima is another place to visit to see museums and sculptures all around this peaceful
island. If you’re a fan of Japanese animation or manga, there are some places you will want to see as well.
Mitaka-city is home to the amazing Studio Ghibli museum which is full of goodies to geek out on. Word of
advise for this museum though is to call ahead and reserve tickets. Another museum that is for manga lovers, is
the Kyoto International Manga museum. This houses records of manga from around the world. Kyoto also has
dozens of shops that are anime related as well. Don’t forget to stop and see Japan’s Disney world, it’s a unique
experience. Another thing you will want to be sure to do is check out the candy and food of Japan. We have had a
few candies hitting the shelves in the US, like pocky, ramune sodas, and more; but they aren’t even scratching
the surface on the amount of candy they produce. Be sure to try some, if not all of these delicious treats The
meals in this country vary and some words are very similar so be sure of what you want. (The word for water is
pronounced Mizo and soup is Mizu, so you can see they are in fact similar.) We all know what sushi is, but rice is
one of the most popular of meals. One that has made it’s way to our country again is Ramen. Delicious noodles
flavored by veggies or a seasoning packet. A bento box, a meal similar to a lunchbox, is a cheap and easy meal
that can be bought or homemade easily. Japan has so many things to do that I can’t imagine anyone being bored.
There are plenty more sights to see, so add this to your to do list!
Sample article Religious topic: (520 words)
A follower of Christ, Mary Kay Ash, said something that really stuck with me. Her words were "God does not ask
your ability or your inability. He asks only your availability." What does this say about what we need to do to
apply this to our lives as Christians? It says we need to be available to God so He can use us. This is a simple
9. task, at least it seems it is. But we often don’t want to let God lead us. We are independant and we like doing
things ourselves. We feel we have to be in control of everything for things to go smoothly. The truth is, what
causes us to worry is when WE take control, go off the path HE gave us and go our own way.The reality is God is
our maker and all that He does for us is planning the good of our future. He knows what the outcome is before it
happens. A great example of this is a story I read not that long ago. It was a true story about a woman in a third
world country. She was caring for her baby and she was in need of a bottle to warm the milk for her baby. She
prayed to God that He would provide her with this to keep her baby healthy, then added if you really love her
send her a baby doll too. The next morning she received a package with just that, the funny thing was the
package was dated 5 weeks before she ever said that prayer. Now, I am not saying that God will always provide
us right away, but He always gives us what we really need. The Bible tells us in Proverbs 19:21, that man has
many plans, but it is God’s will that will be what stands. Also in Romans 8:28 and Jeremiah 29:11 it states that
God’s plans for you are for your good, to better you as long as you follow Him. This is not saying, however, that
your life will be easy if you follow Him, just that the end result, the final outcome will be for your good. Then
there are those who feel like they have messed up, are so messed up, that they are not able to be used by God. Or
that they feel He can’t use them. Let me remind you of a very important person in the Bible who most never
would have imagined him being a Christian. Saul was a murderer, he killed anyone who called themselves a
christian. This was a man that you would have thought God would hate.Even with all he did against God, God
called him to be someone greater, he became Paul, the greatest evangelist in the Bible who wrote several of the
books of the Bible! God can use anyone. You don’t have to be rich, or strong, or good, you just need to be
available. So, are you available for God to use, will you let Him control your life? If God is in control of your life
you have no reason to worry or fear. Let God take hold of your life today and see where He leads you.
