Roller coasters were inspired by Russians building icy slides down hills for winter fun. This inspired Americans to build wooden roller coasters, which evolved into steel coasters able to loop and go faster. Wooden coasters sway more but cannot loop, while steel ones are taller and faster. Front cars go slower but have better views, while back cars go faster pulled by others. Oblivion was the first coaster with a vertical drop. Coasters use road wheels on top of rails, guide wheels to prevent sliding off, and upstop wheels at the bottom. Harry Potter World includes restaurants, coasters, and a Hogwarts Castle designed to resemble the books.
