Tanima Suresh Srivastava is an architect and project manager based in Florida. She has over 20 years of experience in architecture and interior design. Some of her notable past projects include designing a winery in Northern India inspired by Roman architecture, and managing the design and construction of Benigna's Creek Winery in Pennsylvania. She is skilled in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Microsoft Office, and Adobe software. She is currently the Vice President of Mathias Installations Inc. and manages her own properties.

2. About Me
I was Born in Mumbai, India. In school I was always good
in drawing & my drawing teacher came to our house to
tell my parents to send me for fine arts or creative field.
As teenager I used to watch my architect uncle doing
interior & building drawings that fascinated me. But
sending me for Architectural course was my parent’s
decision. But today I feel that this is the only field that
suite my outgoing personality & confidence. I love creating
masses & see them built.
My favorite project was designing a winery in Northern
Hilly part of India. During that process I studied winery in
Europe & the whole process of production. As that site
was on the way to the tourist hill station, we wanted to
create a stop over attraction & display. I had designed that
project in respect to Roman Architecture. I loved doing the
detailing of Roman architecture. This project was
presented to the Chief Minister of that State & was highly
appreciated. Unfortunately it was never built due to
political issues.
Fortunately my best & the last project with lack Strosser
was Benigna’s Creek Winery at Klingertown PA. I was
introduced to the client for the initial approach where the
client was not sure about hiring us. I helped them
understand their requirement & what an architect can do
for putting their dream into reality. I showed them all
possible winery concept of their taste & helped them
developed their vision onto paper. I also did the entire
interior designing for this project & handled this project till
completion. In the end this project has become their & my
pride to talk about. As a result of this project, I started
making wines from last 5 yrs.

3. My Interests…
Travelling
I love Travelling, visiting places to see new cultures and meet new people. I am very passionate
about historic buildings.
Whenever I plan to travel international, I study a new country to visit and plan my trip
accordinginly. So far I have visited at least 50% of India, 10% of within America and also have
visited Dubai, London, Manchester, Oxford, Venice, Florence, Pisa, Rome, Naples, Pompeii,
Sicily, Barcelona, Bahamas, Bermudas and Aruba.

4. My Interests…
Landscaping and Gardening
I moved to US in Dec 2005 and since then I have been discovering new things to do. I have lived in
four places. Since then I have developed the yard from sctach.

Building my own Houses
Fortunately I got to design and supervise our house in India even before I graduated from college. My dad
encouraged me and had trust in me of whatever fantasy ideas I had for our house. Later I realized so many
flosses but my mom & dad was so proud of me and of our marble palace.
I design & supervised again constructing another house for my ex in northern India. Once again it was marble
Palace with custom flooring and built in marble cabinetry.
Here in US I have built two houses right from scratch. The only difference here was that there was no supervision
but manual labor to do it ourselves.
First one we bought was a rundown property which needed complete uplift. Instead of renovating, we ended up
building everything new. I learned to do some major house building.
Second one I bought an empty lot and designed to have some rental income from it. This house had some
restrictions, so getting permission and achieving the building footprints was a great achievement. This time I got
the shell built by the contractor and rest everything inside got done with the help of my boyfriend.

6. My Skills…
When I came to USA in 2005, I was totally unaware of US constructions and customs. I was so
amazed in learning new things.
Apart from learning architecture techniques, I learned to drive ambulance, school bus, motor
coach bus. I became an EMT with Muncy Fire company. Became a professional flooring installer.
In short whatever came around, I was curious to learn and always was praised for quality
performance. In spite of my Indian accent, I am very outgoing, confident, warm and happy
person.

My friend approached me to design his motel adding 20 rooms to his current 60's motel. I handled the
entire project from site analysis to designing, preparation and invitation to bidding, construction documents
as well as construction management with the help of Ted Strosser Architecture firm supporting me as
Independent architecture project manager.

Park Ridge Apartments Jan 2011 –Sep 2011
Proposal to convert Existing barn into Apartments Units for My another friend. My involvement as
again designing and preparation of code set. Unfortunately he changed his mind due to financial
reasons.

Danville Shanti Temple as a Independent Project manager with Robert Lack Architecture support
July 2010 –July 2012
Proposal to built a hindu temple in country location of PA where there were locals resisting the
project. I attended lot of township meetings and was able to convince the community about the
project that it is just a religious community building just like a church. There were civil development
and architecture engineering permit drawings submitted. Ultimately this project is still pending due
to lack of follow up from the congregations.
