Quality Control Dept.
Responsibilities: Analytical testing on all compounding batch's used to make
laundry detergent. I am trained and proficient in the use of an HPLC, Brookfield
viscometer, Color Spectrometer, Ph meters, Anton Parr viscometer, Auto titration
for testing Anionic and Nonionic surfactants. Quality control duties including
verifying fill weight, torque settings, reviewing bottle labels, creating standard
bottles for each product. As a QA technician I am completely responsible for
insuring the start up of each new product being produced. The product can not be
released to run until I give the permission to start the production.
Feb. 2006-Feb. 2009 Sr. Chemical Technician,
ESAB Hanover, Pa.
Research and development dept.
Responsibilities: Analyzing raw materials and finished products by wet and
instrumental analyses. I am trained and proficient in the use of the Leco
RC-612 moisture/carbon analyzer; Leco carbon/sulfur analyzer; and the
Leco oxygen/nitrogen . Full knowledge and training of an ICP; OE; and
XRF instrumentation. I am also well trained in a variety of wet testing
analysis, entering data, and releasing products from the manufacturing
facility.
Achievements: Exceeded manger target goals set for me in less than
required time. Excellent merit reviews reflecting my job performance
exceeded company expectations. Within my first two weeks with ESAB I
wad needed to work in our manufacturing plant at the beginning of a union
strike. I was given one day of training to learn and operate an EDAX
instrument. Not only did I achieve operating the EDAX, I was able to prove
that the work generated for analysis could be done in two shifts in place of
three, thus saving the company valuable time and money. In my second
year with ESAB, I continued to grow in my responsibilities in the lab, and I
recently completed a very important research project for several of our
engineers that led to a chemical discovery that will be implemented to
resolve several production issues with some of our products.

Responsibilities: Preparation and extraction of both liquid and solid ;
Operation of instrumentation; Data analysis; Recording data and reports.
Achievements: State Certification of drinking water for the analysis of
Total Organic Carbon; Satisfied the Pa State quality standards and
audits on the following tests: Total Organic Carbon; Grease and Oil; SemiVolatiles;
Pesticides, and PCB's. Assumed increased responsibility for
analysis of eleven tests which includes: Total Organic Carbon; Total
Petroleum Hydrocarbons using IR instrumentation; Semi-Volatiles,
Pesticides, PCB's, Formaldehyde's, Ignitability, Reactivity, Flammability,
