3. 2 Person interview
If you have more than one person interviewing you at once,
make sure you briefly address both people with your gaze
(without looking like a tennis spectator) and return your
attention to the person who has asked you a question.
4. Enthusiasm
Show your enthusiasm by keeping an interested
expression. Nod and make positive gestures in
moderation to avoid looking like a pendejo.
5. Awkward :3
Establish a comfortable amount of personal space
between you and the interviewer. Invading personal
space (anything more than 20 inches) could make the
interviewer feel uncomfortable and take the focus away
from your conversation.
7. No gum, no candy
Nothing in your mouth except teeth
You’re there to speak and listen – without anything else going
on in there. Once again, you want to show you are about the
business and not your own comfort or habits.
8. Don’t wear perfume or cologne.
some people find perfumes or colognes offensive –
worse yet, some people may be allergic. They don’t
belong in an interview…except maybe (once again
tastefully done) if you are interviewing at the company
that makes the product.
9. Nothing too fancy, nothing to casual
A suit is not always the best choice for what to wear on a job
interview. If you show up wearing a suit and tie and all the employees
are wearing shorts and flip-flops, you will look out of place, feel
uncomfortable and give off the wrong energy. The same is true of the
opposite. If you show up wearing shorts and flip-flops to a company
that wears professional attire, you will be just confirming that you don’t
fit into the company.
