• Paul is an experienced director, manager and senior finance executive with experience in
business management, finance and accounting for the financial services, resources, power and
contracting sectors. He was the Inaugural Chairman of the Audit Advisory Board of the Gold
Coast City Council (Jan 2005 – Sept 2011) President of the Finance and Treasury Association
(2001-04), Chairman of St Joseph's Nudgee Junior College (2005-08) and director of several Shell
Group companies.
• Paul has 25 years’ experience across the banking, resources and energy sectors. He commenced
his career with BA Australia Ltd. Paul was Executive Manager – Finance and Investment with
Thiess and has previously been Group Treasurer of Shell Coal &Power International and Anglo
Coal Australia as well as working in other senior finance rolls with the Royal Dutch Shell Group.
• Paul was an Executive Director of First Asia Pacific Group providing corporate finance advice in
Australia, Indonesia and Singapore on resources and energy projects plus associated
infrastructure. He lived in Jakarta on secondment to United Mining Group in Indonesia as
President Commissioner. In May 2012 Paul was seconded to Mining Services Leasing Group
Limited (MSLG) as its Managing Director.
• In July 2013 Paul was also appointed as an Executive Director of Linchpin Capital Group Limited
when it acquired MSLG. He is a director of several Linchpin Group Companies. He is based in
Sydney.
