Syllabus
Syllabus based on the scenario selected for the collaborative work in Unit 2 , option A
A. You have been hired by a young tourist guide who already has an English level of B2,
and who is highly motivated to get a better job opportunity at a coffee plantation. In three
months, this Coffee plantation is expected to hire new staff with a general knowledge of
English, who is also familiar with a specific vocabulary related with coffee plantations,
production, machinery and refinement processes to be able to explain to foreign business
investors and/or visitors all the steps required for the development and completion of the
product, meanwhile he is showing them the different areas of that coffee plantation.
Expectations: young tourist guide highly motivated to get a better job opportunity at a coffee
plantation.
This Coffee plantation is expected to hire new staff with a general knowledge of English.
Why so important them about to learn the language?
who is also familiar with a specific vocabulary related with coffee plantations, production,
machinery and refinement processes, thus they have the whole knowledge about the coffee
process and exactly that is what the people and investors want to know about.
That’s why, they are so important for the company because about the knowledge they know how
to do and the experience also they have.
We need also that everyone can get good communicate between each other because the investors
they want to know of course about what they are going to invest the money and the rentability it
can make for them, not only them also the visitors coming want to know about the technical
process that is going there in the meantime.
And if this is the case, what we can do ???? Just teaching them making them ready for what
we need.
That’s why on this circumstance what I would recommend is just keeping the people busy
learning English every day as much possible making knowledge about how to talk about the job
they are doing and how to develop a conversation about and teaching them the most possible
questions they can hear by the people around, how to answer of course and what to do on this
circumstance
On the another aspect we have also our another motivated friend who we have to teach in
another ways, how to treat whit our sponsors just as neatly way we can, teaching him to get in
touch whit them, like that with intense program every day every time until reach the time over to
make the goal we want to score.
Objectives
GENERAL
OBJECTIVE
Orientate and promote specific teaching and learning strategies to teach English
as a foreign language to adults.
SPECIFIC
OBJECTIVES
Encourage the use of English as a foreign language among adult people in the
classroom but also outside the room.
Wide the use and the application of different strategies and techniques in the
teaching and learning process in the adults’ learning.
Reflect about the different methodologies used for the teaching of English to
adults and minimize the anxiety and the stress and Foster the confidence and
the learning
Julius Method:
Based on the previous example, I am now based on my way also:
-In my elaboration we do not need anyone only of ourselves and desires to learn English
-The website to which we will go is called http://www.50talen.com/, in which we will find the
audios from the lowest level to the highest.
-This learning system we use to learn any language we want to learn not only English, but the
learning material is based on the same form of use so we will have a basis for later if we want to
learn some other language we want
-Once we have all the 100 audios contained in this program we will listen to them and collect
them along with the writing, which is exactly word by word and in which we will be learning the
translation together with the same part of the grammar in each sentence what is the audio saying
- Once we understand what we should do we can handle this either through the website or its
application which we can also have on our phone through its application, it is true that today
technology advances us much more being a effective tool in the learning process
-When we already have a certain level of learning which we will be looking at step by step
through this program, we will put it into practice mutually to the maximum possible to accelerate
our learning, by means of convections to the maximum possible through whatsaap which will
improve our grammar and our memory, this will also help us in a conversational situation
-When we see that our students have capacities in which they can already handle the language by
themselves and we will return to another type of method which I call the story
-The story is about another type of tool based in the own program.
