WRAP’s
vision is a
world in which
resources
are used
sustainably
Our mission is to accelerate the move
to a sustainable resource-efficient
economy through:
• Re-inventing how we design,
produce and sell products
• Re-thinking how we use and
consume products
• Re-defining what is possible through
re-use and recycling.

What does
WRAP know
about
plastics?
In 2007 WRAP worked
with Marks & Spencer,
Coca-Cola
and Boots on the UK’s
first trials to use, and
declare, significant
levels of recycled post
consumer material in
PET packaging…
Using recycled content in plastic packaging: the benefits, WRAP 2007
…and worked with Nextek,
Viridor and the Co-op to create
black plastics that could be
detected by (NIR) recycling
technology.
In-market trial to prove recycling process for black CPET trays, WRAP 2013
WRAP led work to develop
the world’s first process to
recycle HDPE milk bottles
into food grade rHDPE for
use in new milk bottles…
Using recycled polymers in new products: a business opportunity, WRAP 2014
But what are
we doing
now?
Together we can create a
sustainable system for plastics
Together we can create a
sustainable system for plastics
WRAP Cymru will
continue our pioneering
work by collaborating
with Welsh
