First, people are always using a plastic bag because of its availability and easiness to find a plastic. In every corner and in every place of the cities and countries, there are always plastic bags; especially in Jakarta the usage of plastic bag is in a high rate. The groceries, vendors, minimarket, and hypermarketuse the plasticbagsforthe reasonof easiness.So,fromthe lower-class people up to high- classpeople inJakartaare familiarizedinusingplastic bags. Moreover, it is a hard thing to do to change theirmind-settouse anotherfriendlymaterial to wrap or to use because using plastic bag is a habit for them. Second,people are usingthe plasticbagsbecause itsdurability. The durabilitymeansthe plastic bags can be used two or three, or even more times without breakable. It also lasts longer than any material we use every day. This durability makes the people are reluctant to use or bring cloth bag or evenpaperbagwhentheyshopina marketor supermarket.Theythinkthatthe use of anothermaterial beside plastic is not practical. Third, plastic is very convenience to use. It’s very easy to carry anything using the plastic bags. Plasticbagscan carry mostlyheavymetal. Itisalsoeasyto find,that’swhymanypeople are comfortable enough using plastic bags to put their things and carry it. Fourth,fewpeople thoughtthatplasticissoexpansive.Butno, plastic is very cheap and we can findineverywhere,that’sthe reasonswhy people always using the plastic bags.
