4. “Introduction”
 Surat Al-Furqan (Arabic: ‫الفرقان‬ ‫سورة‬ ," The
Criterion") is the 25th sura of Qur'an with
77 ayat.
 The “Criterion” refers to the Qur'an itself as
the decisive factor between the Good and
the Evil.
 It is Makkiya Sura.

5. “Subject”
• The Surah deals with the doubts and objections that
were being raised against the Qur'an, the Prophethood
of Muhammad (Allah's peace and blessings be upon him)
and his teachings by the disbelievers of Makkah.
• Appropriate answers to each and every objection have
been given in this surah.
• The people have been warned of the consequences of
rejecting the Truth.
• At the end of the Surah, a clear picture of the moral
superiority of the Believers has been depicted.

Furqan are:

“Those who disbelieve say: ‘This (Qur'ān) is but a
fabrication which he (Muhammad) himself has invented,
and some others have helped him with it, so they have
produced a wrong and a falsehood.”

“And the servants of the Beneficent God are they who walk
on the earth in humbleness, and when the ignorant address
them, they say: Peace”.

“These shall be rewarded with high places because
they were patient..”

 Those who disbelieve say: "This is nothing but a
lie that he has invented, and others have
helped him in it.''
Reply:

 In fact, they have produced an unjust wrong and a
lie.

 And they say: "Tales of the ancients which he has
written down, and they are dictated to him
morning and afternoon.'

 Say: "It has been sent down by Him Who knows the
